additionally, taking these screenshots ALSO made me notice, face 3A's purple gradient ears! this is the only face/hair model that even has a different color showing up in its ears, interestingly enough! (more fun notes: faces 1 and 2 have bigger, lower-angled ears than the other faces do... cute)
actually, some more thoughts on haja... something that's interesting, is the way her model is painted gives the impression of the spots gradually blending together into a more solid darker color in the back of her neck. like, compare to how other face models are shaded...? plus the solid brown ears!
heck, i'd have loved to see something like haja zhwan's spotted face markings, which are completely unique to her even in ffxi. but her existence alone helps imply: how much more variation in face markings existing that we have not seen due to limited character model options?
will probably have to "open image in new tab" to show the shittiness properly but i hate this. put it back

also i came out here to try and get a gravity scroll to drop for my rdm bc i didnt wanna pay 200k for it like a cheapass and: fuck yes that was fast
finding it fun to occasionally take some detours to check out ergon locus locations when traversing adoulin zones just bc a lot of them tend to be in really scenic areas....

working on getting my rdm af1 set today, really really like how this top (royal knight's aketon) goes with the rest of the pieces as well though :3 (...off to castle oztroja for the af body piece next, now, uuuugh....)
holy wow, i'm still not caught up to see how all the more recent cutscenes look first hand, but seeing this level of depth of field in even a simple cutscene like this looks so amazing.... ooooo....
she is sooo cute.... even in the plain ass modern clothes these events have been dressing her up in, she makes them look so stylish and cute
i knew i wanted metallic accessories for hairties but wasn't entirely sure how to design them until i had a spontaneous idea to modify one of the geo bell models and. ohhh this looks soooo cute. and still need to clean up the textures on the sides of the braid but im rly happy with it so far hehe...
do like this spot in marjami ravine... (out grabbing some more geo- spells i need)
just a visual comparison for fun. lion & cornelia (older models) + lilisette & arciela (later models)... definitely two different styles for the faces here! but it does help make me feel like i can get away with taking some minor liberties with face detailing and still have the model "fit in" okay~
