Gosh, I'd never noticed the 'Candidate Band' bit in your bio before. This was a hugely enjoyable evening.
My first ever chicken parmo. Oh my god! Why oh why aren't these available where I live?! Also, thank heavens these aren't available where I live! #somanycalories 😄
Not Drowning, Waving by Bearwood Brewery, on tap at Belly Rub in Scarborough. First 'Australian IPA' I've ever seen. Very crushable, as I believe the cool kids say.
Excellent album. Saw her in Texas a couple of years ago - hoping to get to the Bush Hall show.
Less Dangerous from Liquid Light brewery, on cask at Beerhouse in Market Harborough. Fruity New England pale with a pleasing bitterness. Very nice indeed. If it's still on as the temperature soars at the weekend I can see it becoming more and more dangerous!
380 a day? Seriously? These are the statistics for the UK for the last year (source www.hse.gov.uk/statistics/f...)
Evening, Richard and everyone. All set for two hours of great music. Cheers!
My Top 5 1) Aaron Lee Tasjan & Friends (Luck Reunion, Texas) 2) Amelia Coburn (The Blue Moon, Cambridge) 3) Ny Oh (British Music Embassy, Austin) 4) Boulder Fields (The Old Forge, Cranford) 5) Emma Swift (Troubadour) So many others I could mention. A great year of live music!
Fraid not, but I will be seeing them at Great Easton on Saturday 😉. By the way, my sister-in-law's wolf, Kito, says the new album is great.
I don't begrudge anyone the experience of a stadium gig. But, for me, nothing beats standing mere feet from one of your favourite artists in an intimate venue - in this case, @emmaswiftsings.bsky.social (plus hubby, Robyn Hitchcock, in support) at a sold-out Troubador. Just glorious (and only £12)!
This isn't the fault of asylum seekers, BBC, it's the fault of your long-running series, Homes Under The Hammer. That's why people can no longer afford houses - because you've been encouraging people to buy up all the cheap housing stock for profit for decades now.
Here's the BBC taking note (hidden away on the politics page of the website):
If he's not involved, he acts up like a petulant child. He really is the personification of a debilitating disease.
Quote a record that you found in your parents' collection when you were young.
Who says that local journalism is in trouble? This Buxton Advertiser scribe managed to get 'turquoise tsunami' into their piece no fewer than four times. What a time to be alive.
We went to have a look at Dripping Springs while we were out in Texas last month - turns out everything is closed on a Monday 😄
