The Muckleshoot Tribe’s Head Start early learning program provides fantastic resources for our community, including a great mobile health clinic for young students and families.

I had a great day yesterday meeting with the Muckleshoot Tribe’s Head Start and mobile health staff, Auburn Senior Activity Center visitors, local aerospace innovators, and WA State Fair Trade Coalition advocates!

I recently visited the Kittitas County Emergency Operations Center, which will help our local search and rescue teams, wildfire response, and emergency management.

Thank you to the Pierce County leaders who joined me yesterday to discuss the Orville Road floodplain restoration project in Orting. This project will protect our families and communities from flooding, especially as recovery efforts continue from last winter’s devastating storms.

I joined the King County Housing Authority this week to break ground on their Issaquah Trailhead Affordable Housing project, which will add 154 affordable units for families in our community!

I had a great day in North Central Washington celebrating federal funding I secured for local emergency services and housing projects. I also stopped by the Confluence Parkway project, met with a small business to discuss tariff impacts, and talked with staff at Head Start Wenatchee.

61 years ago today, Medicare and Medicaid were signed into law - making healthcare accessible for millions of Americans. Now, Congressional Republicans’ Medicaid cuts have ripped coverage away from kids, families, and seniors in Washington state and across the country.

I recently volunteered at the Maple Valley Food Bank, where I heard from volunteers and staff about how federal funding cuts have harmed local resources. Thank you for keeping our communities healthy and fed.

For Kittitas County this year, I secured funding to widen I-90 and improve roads and walkways in Cle Elum. One of my most important jobs in Congress is to bring tax dollars home to help you and your communities in #WA08.

President Trump and Congressional Republicans' Big Ugly Bill has already harmed so many of my constituents, as healthcare costs are too expensive to afford, nutrition programs have been slashed, and Medicaid cuts take effect - all while billionaires get a massive tax break.
