Trump’s ICE is terrorizing the country and two more people are dead. It’s a systematic attack on basic rights - and it goes way beyond immigration.
ICE is out of control – with fatal consequences. Two more people have been killed. And despite what ICE and Trump think, they are NOT above the law. I joined my Democratic colleagues to demand transparency and push for an independent investigation into the latest ICE shootings.
Catch me on The Fly-In with @repgreglandsman.bsky.social & Rep. Veasey. We’re breaking down the impact of Trump’s policies on Americans. Stay tuned for the analysis and stick around for some fun towards the end. You won’t want to miss this. Available now wherever you get your podcasts.
Big news: the CWRU led NEO-SMART manufacturing partnership has received a massive federal grant of up to $160 million to support jobs and innovation in NE Ohio. This huge investment is made possible by the CHIPS and Science Act, which I proudly voted for.
While millions struggle to get by, this White House is treating Americans' hard-earned tax dollars like Trump's own personal ATM. Here's how Trump is wasting your money to line his own pockets.
161,000 Ohioans have lost ACA healthcare coverage because of Republican cuts. The largest loss of coverage in the country. While Trump is raking in billions, Ohio families are suffering.
This week, I held an immigration roundtable with community representatives. Trump’s dangerous anti-immigrant agenda is hurting families here and nationwide. We discussed the need for legislative action and working locally to ensure that NE Ohio is safe and welcoming to all.
So glad I joined the Intercity Yacht Club & heard about their efforts to lift up our community. When resources were scarce for Black folks, they stood up for us. Now, they're expanding to offer youth & workforce opportunities & I'm so glad I could be there for the unveiling.
161,385 Ohioans have lost ACA health care coverage following the Trump health care cuts according to official data. This is a 32% drop, the worst in the country. While Trump builds a ballroom to himself, thousands of Ohioans can no longer get the basic health care they need.
One year after Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill" became law, the results are anything but beautiful...
Happy Independence Day! On our nation’s 250th birthday, I wanted to share my thoughts on what it means to be American.
Kash Patel left me on read … but I’m not letting this one go.
Frank LaRose thought it was cute to get in a Twitter fight with me about handing over Ohioans' sensitive information to Trump's DOJ. But now federal court validated our concerns, ruling the Trump data system is UNLAWFUL.
July is fibroids awareness month. As someone who’s dealt with fibroids, I know just how devastating the lack of research & treatment options can be. With this crisis impacting half of all women by age 50, Congress must do more to ensure women get the care they deserve.
What started as a racist lie against Haitians is now official U.S. policy, thanks to the Supreme Court. It is wrong on so many levels. The House already passed a bill to protect TPS for Haitians, and now the Senate must act before it's too late.
This ruling from the Supreme Court is nothing but a license to feed Trump’s hateful and racist mass deportation machine. The Court has issued an appalling and devastating verdict for the thousands of Haitians who are here legally. Congress must act to extend TPS for Haiti.
I am so grateful to Team Brown and my friends for surprising me on my birthday! Thank you to everyone who has reached out to wish me a special day. It has been a long year in Congress with the constant craziness, but I feel truly blessed.
I was honored to join @clefoodbank.bsky.social last week as they unveiled plans for the West Side Community Resource Center. I’ve been proud to secure federal funding for the GCFB because they demonstrate what it means to serve those in need with respect and dignity.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads and father-figures across NE Ohio today. Thank you for all that you do for your families.
And through every challenge and milestone, you’ve been a constant source of courage, encouragement, and love. For that, I am endlessly grateful and humbled, you’ve made so much possible.
As a coach on the sidelines, or in any room you enter, you stand out. Your stature and steady presence have always made me feel supported, giving me the confidence to step forward, to stand up, and to speak out, knowing you’d be there whenever I needed you.
Happy Father’s Day to the man who has always been a source of strength for me.
We are not about to let this out-of-control administration ruin our Black joy. Especially not during Juneteenth! Happy Juneteenth y’all!
The Trump FBI conducted a massive raid targeting a voter registration group in NE Ohio. The FBI used hundreds of agents, in an election year, even going to people’s homes. Voting is a constitutional right – so we need answers. I’m demanding details from the FBI.
Today, I led a letter with my Ohio colleagues demanding answers from Trump's FBI after their massive raid targeting voter registration in our state. We need answers because voter registration is not voter fraud.
Cleveland's NYSP has continued to pour into the young folks of our community by offering programs to prepare students for college and their future ambitions. This organization is setting our youth up for success, & I couldn't be prouder of the positive impact they have made.
I love how Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Heights came together to lift up our very own gold medalist Laila Edwards. My office was honored to attend this weekend's celebration and pass along our recognition. Congratulations Laila!
🚨The Trump and Kash Patel-led FBI has just raided a voter registration group in Cleveland. This is straight up voter intimidation designed to suppress our vote. I’ve demanded answers from the FBI, because this is unacceptable. Here’s what you need to know.
Ohio was reminded today that the fight for the right to vote is not history. It is happening right now. Earlier this week, I took to the House floor to say that Juneteenth reminds us of the long battle to secure voting rights and Black political power. That fight is ours to carry today.
