Change does not happen by waiting for the perfect moment. It happens when people choose to show up, speak out, vote, serve, organize, and keep pushing their communities forward. That work belongs to all of us. #NV04
Summer in Nevada calls for good music, good energy, and songs that bring people together. From Frankie Beverly and Bill Withers to Michael Montano and Wizkid, these are eight songs on my summer playlist. What song should I add next? #NV04 #SummerPlaylist
I will not support another blank check for Trump’s unauthorized war.
Black women help power Nevada’s economy, lead our businesses, support their families, and strengthen our communities. Yet in Nevada, Black women earn just 59 cents for every dollar earned by men.
Today is Nelson Mandela Day. Mandela reminded the world that true leadership is measured by how we treat the most vulnerable among us. His legacy challenges us to keep fighting for justice for every person. May we honor his life by serving others and building communities where no one is left behind
I sat down with the housing advocates whose insights helped shape my HOME Act, key provisions of which later became part of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act. President Trump refused to sign the largest housing package in decades. With or without his signature, this bill is becoming law.
Nevada’s parks and recreation spaces are more than places to play. They are where kids learn teamwork, families spend time together, seniors stay active, and neighbors build community. During the summer months, these spaces also help families stay safe, cool, and connected.
America’s 250th birthday should be both a celebration and a reflection.
250 years ago, America was founded on a promise that we are all created equal, with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This Fourth of July, we have so much to celebrate and even more to protect. #America250 #FourthofJuly
My Statement on the 6-3 Supreme court decisions on birthright citizenship:
This republican budget bill fails to address those challenges while expanding ICE without the accountability the public deserves. That is why I am voting no. Read my full statement:
June is Men’s Mental Health Month, a reminder that strength also means asking for help, checking in, and making space for honest conversations. Too many men suffer in silence because of stigma. Mental health is health, and every Nevadan deserves access to care, support, and community. #NV04
Last chance to register. Join me tomorrow, Tuesday May 26 at 5:00 PM PT for a conversation on economic power, representation, and what it means for communities across Nevada. Don't miss it. Register here: bit.ly/4doup77 #NV04
This moment has a clear demand: mobilize voters everywhere. Maps are being redrawn, polling places are being closed, and voter rolls are being purged. The courts aren't done, and neither are we. Legal strategy. Community power. Relentless organizing. That's how rights are protected. #NV04
The Black vote has always threatened the status quo, and those in power have always worked to suppress it. That's not new. What's new is our urgency. Organize in every district. Show up at every poll. Build power they cannot ignore. #NV04
Small businesses and working families are paying the price for reckless tariff policies they had no part in creating. That’s why I’m fighting for the RELIEF Act to require tariff refunds within 90 days, cut the red tape, and get relief directly back to the people and businesses being hurt.
Gas prices don't move randomly. There's a pattern. Global conflict spikes, prices spike. We were promised costs would come down on day one. We were promised no new wars. The facts are the facts: Nevadans are paying over $5 at the pump. And they deserve answers.
The cost of living keeps climbing. And Nevadans are feeling it every single day. Higher gas. Higher groceries. Higher health care. Higher bills. These aren't random increases. They are the direct result of decisions being made in Washington. The facts are the facts. And Nevada deserves better.
Nevada’s educators show up for our students every single day. This Teacher Appreciation Week, we recognize their impact and recommit to supporting them in the classroom.
Across Nevada, Jewish Americans are part of what makes our communities strong, resilient, and vibrant. This Jewish American Heritage Month, we celebrate the history, culture, and lasting contributions to our state and we reaffirm our commitment to standing against hate in all its forms.
Republicans found the votes to cut taxes for billionaires. They couldn't find the will to protect small business owners like Kari. Her premiums are up $180 this year. We're fighting to bring that relief back.
Asian American and Pacific Islander communities are a vital part of Nevada's story. From small businesses and healthcare workers to educators and public servants, AAPI Nevadans help drive our economy and strengthen our communities every day. Happy Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
They’re trying to rewrite the rules of our democracy. Voters should choose their politicians not the other way around. I won’t stand by while our communities are silenced. We must pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. Read my full statement:
$16B more in gas costs nationwide. $154M more from Nevada drivers last month. Trump's trade war is hitting families at the pump.
Today, we mourn the loss of a giant in our community, Miss Ruby Duncan. My deepest condolences are with her family and all those whose lives she touched. Thank you, Miss Ruby Duncan. Your legacy will live on.

Families paid the price. Now it's time to get that money back. The RELIEF Act returns illegal tariff taxes that never should have been collected. No red tape. No delays. If the government got it wrong, you deserve your money back.
This is what a health care crisis looks like. 28,142 people in my district are at risk of losing coverage. 23,142 from Medicaid cuts. 5,000 from ending ACA tax credits. These are real people, real families. We should be lowering costs and expanding access, not taking health care away.
Heath care should be a priority, maybe @SecKennedy will figure that out at some point.
