You're flowers are very bright and cheerful. You must have the dwarf or popcorn lantana. I have the bushy variety that grows 6' tall and wide.

No doggies, but how about a cat living her best life!

An orange and black tortie and tiger mix cat (which TIL is called a 'torbie' 😂) that is stretched out on an outside rug taking a nap. She is laying mostly on her back with tummy exposed, and her paws are over her eyes to block out the light.

Alright all you bird people. Is this a young Carolina Wren? At 11pm I went to get the bowls for the strays so I could wash them. One of the strays was chasing this bird & it flew up under the carport. It's very tiny & feathers are wet from the rain. Best pics I could get as it was so high up.

This bird looks a bit like it could be a young Carolina Wren. A very tiny bird with darkish tan colored wings, a white chest and a fairly long light-colored beak. It's head is striated with the brown and white colors radiating back from the eyes and beak. It looks like there's a bit of yellow showing about where the wings attach to the head/neck. The bird could be tiny cause it's a juvenile. It is also night time, so I was unsure what would fly at night other than bats or owls.

Taz 🌈 on the beach. He was my second heart dog.

An older, medium-sized, black haired mutt that is graying on his face. He is at the beach keeping an eye on the shore birds in case they decide to move closer to him because then he would need to jump into my lap for protection. He looks very regal in this picture, but don't be fooled. He was a wimp of the highest order!

My arm no longer responds to commands from my brain and my body will be titled left for the rest of my life, but Jackson has been sleeping and purring contentedly for about 30 minutes now.

Meet Buster. As orange as it gets.

The first car I drove. My mom took me out on back roads to learn how to shift the gears. My dad taught me maintenance. That car & I did a lot of traveling together. When it finally died, it had 367,000 miles. My best friend & I once replaced the accelerator cable without jacking the car up! 😂

I do altar settings for my church for special Sundays or services. I've been doing these since 2001 for my local church, for conferences, and for regional music and arts workshops in the Southeast. The ones shown were done for my local church in the past year.

Altar table setting for Baptism of the Lord Sunday (called Theophany). It is the feast day commemorating the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. The blue fabric represents the holy water and is pouring out of the jug beneath the cross. The water also symbolizes our own baptism.

Altar table setting for World Communion Sunday when Christians around the world join together in celebrating Holy Communion, remembering that we are one in Christ, no matter our background, language, or culture. The paper dolls are cut out of paper showing the flags of different countries around the world. There is a basket on the table containing bread and different types of grapes from different countries. The draped purplish cloth is an African print meant to be representative of the many cultures around the world.

Altar table setting for Campmeeting month. In the late 18th and through a good portion of the 19th centuries, Christians would gather, usually at open air sites. It originated as a way for rural people who didn't have a church nearby to gather and celebrate worship and holy communion. Lanterns are suggestive of the time before pavilions had electricity for lighting. The flowers are fresh cut and symbolic of the women who would bring them in baskets to adorn the crude altars. The cross is made out of wood.

Altar table setting for the service of Pentecost. It is celebrated on the Sunday that falls on the 50th day of Easter. It commemorates the touch of the fire of the Holy Spirit (represented by the dove) on the Apostles and other disciples following the Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus Christ and it marks the beginning of the Christian church’s mission to the world.

Had a whole array of birds this morning making a wonderful cacophony of sound while I was moving sprinklers around. Cheered me right up! 🎶🐦🐦‍⬛

A list of birds from the Merlin app. Northern Cardinal, Northern Mockingbird, Mourning Dove, Carolina Wren, Cedar Waxwing, Blue Jay, Red-winged Blackbird, Tufted Titmouse, and American Robin. They were all singing while I was moving sprinklers around the yard this morning. It was wonderful and very cheering listening to them!

A black and gold tabby, with some white chest fur, is asleep on my lap. He is one of two semi-feral cats I have. He's just like all other house cats except for two things: you cannot pick him up and you cannot trim his claws.

My blueberries are covered in berries this year. I'm glad cause last year was a bit sparse after damage from the hurricane. So nice to see they're making a good recovery. Hoping I'll be able to make jelly again this year.

One of the stray kitties I feed decided to snooze and sunbathe a bit after breakfast. 😊

A stray tortie cat is laying on a deck. It is on it's side with one of it's back legs up exposing it's tummy to the sun. One of it's front paws is across it's eyes for maximum snoozing potential. It looks comfy and content.

Right now, we pretty much have a warning for everything except snow (although we might get a wintry mix later on today), hurricane and heat advisory! Been a fun morning. 😂 And, let me just say, there has been lots of wind, lightning & some booming thunder going on. The cats are under the bed.

The starlings showed up in force this morning. Lordy they make a racket! Video is showing roof and tree tops with the starlings flitting back and forth. There is a very loud chorus of chirping/calling going on as they flit about. There was probably between 200-300 of them hanging out.

These are my other two kitties. All 4 of the kitties are strays that I took in.

Jackson and Shadow. They are semi-feral and do not like the phone camera, so I have to sneak it out to get pictures of them. Sometimes I get good ones like these, but sometimes all I get is an ear, a paw, a tail or a blur as they dash away.
