Today, I call back to art from a younger Eli. Art was my vessel of self-discovery, growth, and crucial to my trans experience. When I had no idea who I was, I explored the idea of me through art. Despite everything, we are here, trans, and we will not go away! Happy Trans Day of Visibility 💖🏳️‍⚧️💖

An illustration likely made back around 2018 to 2020 with makers and ink pens.

A green cactus person feeds small blue birds while covered in a thorny vine which extends down from the bright magenta flower on their head. They wear a yellow hoodie with red and white stripes on the sleeves, vibrant teal jeans, and red converse. A small bag with a heart symbol sits behind them.

Their eyes cannot be seen, but as they sit with the birds on the ground, they seem to be smiling. It's uncertain if the thorny vines cause them any pain.

The art is incapsulated with a rounded green triangle behind to frame the picture.

There were many times I gravitated towards depicting myself as a non-human entity. Back when I was younger, I related with that idea much more than I did my actual body.

The artwork is signed with DN, initials which now go unused by the artist.

The artist interprets themself as a furry dog person due to a tiktok trend they had come across. Despite ultimately not relating with being a furry, they interpret a sense of gender through the style.

The dog-person is a brown and white husky with yellow eyes and a long green bang that comes over their right eye. They wear a black spiked collar, red plaid button up shirt, a white binder underneath, black ripped jeans with a black belt and a chain, a black spiked bracelet, and various ear jewelry.

The character appears to be slightly confused with their tongue suck out. Two smaller drawings of just their head are to the right of the drawing. One depicting the character screaming comically, and the other staring annoyedly.

The artist interprets themself on a canvas, referencing a picture they took of themselves surrounded by a floral, quilted blanket.

The lines are rough and sketchy, but they manage to texture their hair, eyebrows, lips, and get good shading around the eyes, face, neck, and on the blanket themself.

Interestingly, the artist appeared to try to make themselves not appear as feminine.

I remember when working on this piece I ended up enjoying illustrating the floral pattern on the blanket more than my own face. Looking back, it's interesting to see myself again similarly to how I saw myself back at that time.

The art is signed with the initials DN, which the artist no longer uses anymore.

This illustration was made around 2015 with pencil and some crappy paints I had likely gotten from an art set for Christmas.

A depiction of myself as a goat/satyr person, who had actually been an Undertale OC. One of the first times I had made a version of myself that wasn't how most people told me that I was. Many of the features of my body which I had despised at the time were covered up or removed on this character.

At the time, I hated this artwork and thought it was bad. Looking back now, I feel empathy for that me. Lost, confused, sad, scared, but hopeful. The smaller satyr of this illustration is holding a rose up to their chest, a small speech bubble saying "Knives aren't roses..." The second bubble, which is cut off in this picture says "you're still here"

I remember that I had written a song with this lyric at the time. I believe it was a reminder to me to be kinder to myself, to not hold my own shortcomings over my head. Self love was a necessary aspect of coming to terms with who I am, but despite my reminder to have it here, I did not achieve that for a long time.

Younger me would be happy to know that I loved myself eventually. And I'm happy to say that I do now.

To give more details of the illustration itself, a portrait of a goat person stares with a small pink smile, though their eyes seem large and tired. Blue hypnotic rings are within their eyes, symbolizing their inner sadness (this character's eyes changed color based on their mood). Their fur is brown and covers their hair in a bowl on their head, and is thick around their chest (to cover it up). What isn't covered by fur is pale yellowish skin. On the smaller illustration of the goat person, they have that same fur covering their hips and thighs, with black lower legs and feet poking out of the fur. Big white horns adorn their head.

I also did this sketch on the way to my trip. I saw my reflection on my phone (i was really struggling to entertain myself during an 8 hour car ride), and thought the angle was interesting. Sleep deprivation had me looking wrecked that day too 😂

I did this abstract drawing of a creek with color pencils on the way back from my Tennessee trip. It's not amazing, but art doesn't have to be. You can just draw something because its fun and you feel like it. I did love hiking and getting to see sights like that creek. Nature is beautiful.

While the photographer never reached Rainbow Falls that day, they did enjoy the bubbling sounds of the creek, the splashing of the small waterfall, and the rustling of the leaves on the bushes.

The rocky landscape, featured in the image, was fun to climb. The barren trees, whose leaves had fallen off from the winter, didn't take away from the beauty of the land. If anything, it added to it.

New design of a character named Estelle Naverde. She has dark, orangeish brown skin. Her dark black hair is done up neatly in small, tight braids capped with small silver rings and twirled below them. Although she faces towards her left, her head is turned towards the right, staring off towards something with a concerned expression. Her eyes, which are mildly squinting, are a medium purple hue. She has a rounded, flared nose, and big, beautiful lips. Her eyebrows are full, and furrowed with her expression. Her ears are long and slender, coming to a point at their tips. She is tall, but somewhat stocky, giving the impression that she is strong. Most of her body is covered by her dress and armor, but skin shows around her shoulders, her neck, and her face.

She wears a purple, half mermaid tail dress with big sleeves that hang down under her shoulders and a ruffled skirt. The color compliments her eyes. She has silver & platinum pauldrons, chest piece, skirt armor, greaves, neck cover, heeled boots, a circlet, a shield on her back, and a spiked flail all adorned with imagery of a 8 pointed star (a four pointed star defined horizontally and vertically, but with 4 additional points coming out from underneath the four pointed one diagonally). Her dress sleeves have an 8 pointed star at the top of each sleeve. She has leather gloves, a leather belt to hold her flail, a leather strap over her chest to hold her shield, and leather straps under her pauldrons and greaves. A small tapestry hangs under her skirt armor depicting the eight pointed star with four smaller four pointed stars around it. It is a light purple with a white border and white stars. A rounded-edged, flared cape is behind her, under her shield, with the same colors as the tapestry.

Over her left hand, which she holds up making a pinch, is purple, glowy magic with little stars inside.

This is my life cleric dragonborn character Urima from a campaign I'm in currently. The DM has various types of tree dragonborn, and I picked cherry blossom

On their forehead are three big scales which look like cherry blossom petals. They have on loose blue, green, gold, and white robes which has a tree symbol in a partial circle. Little leaves seem to border certain parts of the tunic. The claws of their hands and feet have pink nails. A braid of pink hair goes down the back of their head.

Hi! I do a lot of pixel art, acyrlic painting, and just recently got more into digital painting (but mixed media, sketches are done with pencil). I have done works with ink pens also Y'all all have very lovely art! I don't really have anyone to tag that hasn't already been tagged, so I'll repost.
