Saga of a desperate southern gentleman. There is no such joy in the tavern as upon the road thereto. Cat dad, but y'all don't understand how much I love dogs...
This place is wild. Been way too long since I’ve been outside the South. The forests here are unreal. Also, that’s the friend I surprised! Known him since we were like 6!
That’s not too long before the trips we’d take. This is my grandfather on one of those trips. I’m not in this photo, but I’m runnin around out there somewhere just outta view
These are the first two ID photos of mine that look even remotely similar. Four years apart, and I wouldn’t even know which is which without checking.
Somedays sunset bike rides fill me with gratitude, and somedays they fill me with melancholy and yearning.
I bought one of those cheap, small, viewfinder digital cameras to take on my trip this July, and I can’t tell y’all how excited I am to get back to basics. No settings, no screens, only the one lens. I can’t wait.
The Isle of Man TT is going on right now. One of the most intense & deadly sporting events on earth. I’ve never driven a motorcycle, but I do have a lead foot (my username on here is a reference), & lemme tell ya. These folks *scoot*. If you wanna blow your hair back, watch this:
More Flemish coil and Peruvian details, ya boy at the wheel, and one of the modern ships at the Poland St Wharf
Solid brass belaying pins, Flemish coiled lines everywhere, and cool Peruvian details
Zee’s always gets my name wrong. I say, “Evan P, ‘P’ as in ‘papa.’” And every time, they put a B. It doesn’t matter, but it tickles me a little that they think I’m saying baba.
I could always be wrong, but I think Unión is on the bottom. It’s not pulled firmly against the side… Plenty of space between the fenders and the wharf. And the lines aren’t drawing tight and relaxing like they normally would. It’s even listing slightly to port.
They are wayyy bigger than you’d expect. I’ll post the rest when I get to my wifi at home.
