Watching working dogs come alive in their element ❤️🔥! I also learned that there are multiple checkpoints throughout the race to make sure the dogs stay healthy.
Of course I had to be there to see the Alaskan huskies kick off the Iditarod at the opening races! 🐕🐾❄️
I’ve never experienced anything colder than 9° F…. so experiencing -15° F in Anchorage was a record low for me! 🥶 I didn’t get a chance to toss a pot of boiling water in the air though! Alaska is soooo beautiful!
