Progressive, single dad, and writer for Nintendo of America's Treehouse. Opinions are my own.
Hard to re-enact much when everyone there wants to be the Nazis or Confederates.
Anyway, I don't have anything incredibly deep to say about it, just an appreciation of what a comfort it was in a difficult time. With more difficult times ahead, maybe I'll return (though my save died and I don't have the inventory for the photo studio I used to have).
I spent hundreds of hours in the game's photo studio, recreating scenes from pop culture with those animals and big-headed people.
Today is the five-year anniversary of the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which, at 1,300 hours, is likely the game I've spent the most time playing. I'm a Nintendo employee, and my name is in the credits for that game, but I experienced it as the same escape from COVID everyone else did.
This is the one that got me into superhero comics. Saw it on a spinner rack in a Waldenbooks and recognized Darkseid from the Super Powers toy line. It’s been 37 years and I still read cape comics regularly.
