Pretty gutsy. Martina McBride is pointing to civic traditions of celebrating community through county fairs, state fair, and Fourth of July parades. But Trump's people have contempt for anything shared with people outside their orbit and couldn't even fake a civic orientation for McBride's benefit.

Mark Carney is right. The United States is neither a leader nor a part of the "free world." The U.S. is a superpower rogue state as long as MAGA is in charge but won't be trusted with global leadership again after electing Trump a second time.
Things have changed so much since July 2024 that Trump now gets beaten up over attempts to assassinate him. It's not like the Trump project is over--his corrupt family is still piling up billions--but the rapist pedophile is far from having the upper hand.
