Looking at the moon tonight. It's looking fabulous topped by Venus. I should be watching the England match really. They're playing Croatia who's flag is a crescent moon and star (a little ironically). England are 3-2 up at 53 minutes.
Cute little drawing of a stick figure. On the corner of a recently bought Julie London "Julie Is Her Name" LP.
One of my PS5 highlights over Christmas was beating to death fascists with various blunt instruments. Hate those guys virtual or not.
Thinking about my youth and family at that time (see ALT). Lazy Sunday. Bread making, plant repotting, some Jazz on vinyl, a little PS5. But it's Joni with breakfast and wondering what I'm making for dinner tonight. I might stretch my legs with a wander... I might not. I love Sundays.
Was listening to earlier as it's vinyl Sunday for us. Also some Django Reinhardt/Stephanie Grappelli (whilst my bread's was proving). Love Sunday.
Sound familiar? But in this case it was the utterances of Hermann Göring - the (politically powerful) lackey of Adolf Hitler. From Vertigo: The Rise and Fall of Weimar Germany by Harald Jähner.
Sunday listening... Bought in Greenwich this week and a bargain at 7/6 or, to be more accurate, £10. Someone has starred the tracks with red biro at some point in its long life.
Loving this Sunday afternoon. Listening to a newly acquired double Jazz LP (see ALT). Cleaning discs, making two loaves of wholemeal bread and later goulash for myself, my partner, her daughter and her daughter's partner. Joy can arise out of the blue (despite the crap occurring elsewhere). Peace.
A little Antifa Alliteration: A fountain full of five fascists.
I bought myself a hat on my birthday and attempted to find out how I should wear it through selfies... my phone unexpectedly created this gif. Hope it works on BS
Though a man of science I do have a tendency to emotionally imbue inanimate objects with feelings of their own - a soul perhaps. I know it's complete and absolute nonsense but it does, occasionally, cause me a little mental dissonance. Here is a method of transferring the soul of the old to the new.
My Sempervivums are flowering and look no less alien than when the spikes occurred. Bizarre but beautiful.
So... Tha A.P.D. (Anti-Parakeet Device) has been built and installed. I wait...
Lovely ...and here's a bee rummaging around in my Love in a Mist'.
Also... It's worth getting cyclamen if only for their alien looking seed pods.
I love my 'Love in a Mist' plants though they've gone a bit crazy this year because I lazily left them to seed last year (which they do all to readily). Beautiful all the same.
This chap has been thrown thoughtlessly in a box and left at the back of a cupboard and forgotten. My personal depiction of hell.
That's as maybe but I have a better beaker on my window sill and he has, you will note, a really happening and modern hairstyle.
