McConnell’s press secretary telling us that Mitch is doing just fine, taking lots of phone calls, and is working hard for the people of Kentucky.
Let’s get going! #NoScotlandNoParty Cheering the guys on from Colorado!
In honor of Pride, today’s matinee, “Auntie Mame” starring the fantastic Rosalind Russell. It’s not a gay movie, but it is a gay movie! And I get to test it out on Blu-Ray (physical media rocks).
Giving “Day of Days” a rewatch on this 82nd anniversary of the Normandy D-Day landings.
Sunday Matinee, “Hangmen Also Die”. About the assassination of the butcher Heydrich and its aftermath, but with a noir thriller aesthetic. Kind of suprising it was made less than a year after the assassination.
This evening’s feature, “The Lady Vanishes.” Directed by Alfred Hitchcock and one I’ve not seen before.
Today’s Sunday Matinee, “Night Train to Munich.” Featuring a young Rex Harrison! Hadn’t heard of this one until Tubi suggested it.
For fun I’ve been rewatching “The World at War” documentary series from the 70s about World War II. Whoever said that history doesn’t repeat itself but it rhymes wasn’t kidding. 😬
Oh, I didn’t see you there. Never mind me, just building a rocket and rewatching a series about the last time we went to the moon.
Seems like Friday after work is a good time to watch this bit of the 70s for the first time.
New shelf tchotchkes organization as part of spring cleaning. #startrek #lowerdecks
It arrived! 🎶Time goes by, Everything else keeps changing. You and I, We get continued next week.🎶
Looking for a fun new show to watch? “R.J. Decker” is a lot of fun. Based on a character from the mind of Carl Hiaasen, along with all the Florida craziness you would expect.
I didn’t *need* this, but I’m glad I bought it. No longer at the whim of the streaming overlords. #physicalmedia
Just finished “How to Get to Heaven from Belfast”. I really liked it. I like my mysteries and thrillers mixed in with comedy. (Note, it’s not like Derry Girls, so be warned. But it’s soooo good.)
