I don't know that much about #EldenRing but I do know the Let Me Solo Her meme. When looking at #ArtFight PhasmoPhantom's Elden Ring character Cyd, I asked a friend what boss is scariest, and he recommended Malenia, so it seemed obvious what I had to do for my attack - stabby. #Chibi #Digitalart

It's post #ArtFight so I'm gonna try to post at least some of my attacks. Here's Veirlith and Zirovi by @ennzero.bsky.social - their characters have such intricate and beautiful designs! We're playing Animon Story with the kids - a Digimon like #ttrpg - and I've been drawing my son's (8) Animon. Here's his original drawing, my interpretation, and the three earlier stages. (There's one more final stage but I haven't gotten to it yet.)

I had a lot of fun trying to understand what my son wanted with his drawing (he did draw the other four, but I don't have pictures of those drawings). It's delightful when you add your own interpretation and the kid in question lights up because they feel understood. My kid may have put spikes everywhere on his picture, but what I understood after asking him to tell me about his picture is that he wanted a LOT of spikes, not necessarily for every inch to be covered (which is great because that's impractical lol) so I went for a tough, well-defended look and that made him pretty happy. It made me happy too, because that was a lot of spikes to draw 😅

#drawtober days 16-20 and 21-25: enchanted princess and troll toll I didn't consistently draw every day. Got all the drawings done. Real fricken hard to both come up with ideas and motivation to draw when you're "everything is bad in the world at large and my personal life" depressed but here I am

Ensorcelled princess page. My favorite one is the moth princess. We also got a half-hearted crystal princess, a princess turned to stone, one is trapped in a book, and one would look a lot cooler if I put real effort into it. Maybe I will later. Gotta have all these glowing runes on her that are extending out with their enchantments wrapping into bindings.

Troll toll. Got a troll paying the sunlight toll for trolls turning to stone, one begging for food at the table, a troll toll coin, and two different demanding trolls idk I got pretty bad in the "I would rather die than think of ideas" phase of things here. I like drawing trolls and goblins though, you get to really exaggerate their features and I love that.

#drawtober day 11-15 (1): mushroom fairy I'm pretty excited for this prompt. I love mushrooms and fairies. I'm still abroad so I'm still drawing in my journal.

#drawtober Day 1-5 (5): Candlelit Messenger Turns out I've been off a day this whole time because we started on the second. I have no idea what day it is ever I guess. This one is traditionally drawn because of other ADHD/technology related reasons and also I should draw in sketchbooks more anyway.

I've decided I want to try to develop a new art style. Hopefully by going into the style of stained glass, which I've always loved, it'll help me come back with fresh eyes on my "normal" or "default" style and help me improve it.

Aaand I did it. The original 151 pokemon from memory before the year is out, with bonus pre-evolutions and evolutions (before I had to have a crunch time) and now a bonus missingno. (Which I drew backwards, lol. I hope you've enjoyed this silly little endeavor! I feel like I learned a fair amount.

Dratini, dragonair, and dragonite drawn from memory. I couldn't remember if dratini also has an orb at its throat or not. I kinda felt like it did but I just couldn't remember so I left it.
There's always the temptation to alter these guys, and take up the theory that magicarp was supposed to evolve into dragonite and dragonair, gyarados. But idk, with how feisty and angry gyardos is, I'd prefer dragonair to become the round, friendly, happy dragonite, even ifthat means losing the sleek design.

Mew and Mewtwo from memory. Idk it just seemed like Mew really, really needed a cookie.

Oops forgot to make jpegs again. Here's the other two fossil pokemon sets along with some more pokemon from memory. More in alts.

Omanyte and omastar from memory. I always had a really hard time picking between the helix and the claw fossil...but I usually went with helix.

Kabuto and kabutops from memory. Because I usually went with the helix fossil, I'm less familiar with kabutops. At this point I think this set appeals to me more so it kind of surprises me I usually went helix as a kid.

Snorlax from memory. What a snuggly guy.

Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres from memory. I was trying to make Articuno sleek and elegant but it turned out kinda lanky instead. I'll have to give it another go sometime, maybe... but I never have been good at drawing birds. I think Moltres turned out the best.
I should've made Zapdos' wings way sharper spikes, too, now that I think of it.

Next batch of pokemon from memory. My memory of porygon keeps shifting under my scrutiny, making it really hard to figure out how to pin down lines. I would've liked to do all the eeveelutions and porygon's but you know, time constraints from the keyboard incident.

Ditto from memory. Hit this one and went "oh thank goodness an easy one." I could've made ditto a little fancier with shine marks and whatnot but it was a blessed reprieve from most of the single stage detail intensive creatures I had been and would need to draw so I grabbed at that.

Eevee, vaporeon, jolteon, and flareon drawn from memory. Eevee was my favorite pokemon for a long, long time. I still adore Eevee. So drawing it from memory was pretty easy. Vaporeon was my favorite eeveelution until Sylveon. Honestly this vaporeon looks crappy more because of the hastiness in which it was drawn than anything else imo.

Porygon drawn from memory. It's rough to almost remember something. It feels like I have a clear memory of it but then I go to draw what I remember and it shifts or fades away.

Aerodactyl drawn from memory. I couldn't remember if it had a little tail or not. I know it's head isn't shaped quite right but y'know, rushing.

More pokemon from memory. The same problem I had with Ponyta in not being able to draw horses? Applies to bulls and Tauros as well.

Pincer drawn from memory. I guess the features I remember best are most exaggerated here.

Tauros drawn from memory. Yeah, I can't draw that animal shape.

Magicarp and Gyarados drawn from memory. I think maybe Gyarados' head might have been a little more crown like?

Lapras drawn from memory. I always loved lapras. I was one of the people who, on reading it was endangered, bred and released Lapras. I didn't do a ton because with my little ADHD brain, my kid self only had so much patience for it, but it's nice to hear other people did it too and Nintendo has said Lapras isn't endangered anymore.

More pokemon from memory. These were all harder ones. I once saw someone do Jynx as more of a banshee like spirit and I really liked that. I didn't wanna stray too far from its original design for this, but in the future, I'm gonna be leaning into that cuz it's a good way to move away from... well.

Scyther drawn from memory. This was my favorite bug pokemon until Volcarona.

A modified Jynx from memory. I know Jynx has round white eyes with tiny pupils and a rounder stature. But I did wanna draw her more like a creepy spirit.
The one tricky thing of making Jynx into more of a banshee is that she's psychic-ice. I could retype her as a ghost ice, but there's already Froslass that is ghost-ice and a redesign of Jynx more into that territory would really start to step on Froslass' toes. Maybe I could go more for a creepy witch-spirit rather than a banshee kinda thing. Like, the frozen entity in the highest icicle like mountain that is wont to cast a hex on you but you're going to see her because you're desperate, that could still make sense as a psychic-type while still allowing me to re-imagine Jynx with less blackface undertones.
I'm gonna end up playing a lot with those fat lips trying to make them look like a lamprey and not like a racist depiction. Time will tell if I will succeed or just give up and get rid of them. I am going to not do the hour glass shape and do more of a bell shape in the future, though. It's more true to original Jynx and not erasing of that body shape. In this case, I was trying to make her tall and leering, but because I was also trying to go fast, I'm not super pleased how it turned out.
I'm really hoping the tone I chose comes off as shadowy and not like, an actual skin tone. That was the goal.

Electabuzz from memory. I gotta be honest I don't really remember electabuzz. He's got the weird knobby ears and I really hope he has a knobby Marill like tail cuz that's what I gave him.

Poor Magmar. Drawn from memory, I mostly only remember the flame design on the body and what everyone knows Magmar for: that they did it dirty with making it a literal butthead.

More pokemon from memory. I obviously don't remember Kingdra very well. The main thing I remember about Kingdra is it humbling me in Pokemon Crystal when I had been wiping everything out with my Typhlosion main no problem, and it whipped out some massive water move that practically one shot me 🫠

Horsea, Seadra, and Kingdra by memory. What you have to understand about how I played Pokemon back in the day is that if my main ever fainted, or any other pokemon I was proud of, I just shut the game off and restarted from the last save. I liked to brag that my main had never fainted. Which. In my little mind was true if it wasn't in the data. I'd stopped saving before gym leaders because I had been able to destroy them, so I lost a lot of progress when that stupid Kingdra washed away my Typhlosion TT_TT

Goldeen and Seaking from memory. I guess I needed to give Goldeen more sultry eyes.

Staryu and Starmie by memory. You can tell I didn't put my best effort into it because they're just geometric shapes and the way I drew them kinda sucks.

Mr. Mime from memory.
This one was hard for me because I try not to think about Mr. Mime so he's not in my memory super well.

More pokemon from memory. Tangela was fun to draw, just a green spaghetti. I mostly only remembered Ryhorn's head shape.

Chansey from memory. I never did manage to catch one of these in Pokemon Red.
I know it has Hapiny and...geez, what is it, Blissey? that are its evolution family, but with the time I lost from my broken keyboard, I skipped 'em.

Tangela and Tangrowth from memory. I think Tangrowth is a pretty freaking unnecessary evolution, but it was pretty easy to draw so.

Kangeskhan from memory. I loved this pokemon as a kid. Struggled to catch one in Red, too. I couldn't remember if it had a brown color scheme or a blue-gray one so I made the baby blue-gray. I think my difficulty remembering the color has to do with the fact that Red had a really limited color palette and what color it was in that game (it would have had to have been a cold gray) is interfering with my memory of what color modern games make it, since I don't get to see Kangeskhan very often.
