No hate ok. But I think it is sad that women in tech are reduced to “woman of the world” or “number one influencer”. No recognition of actual work, skills, expertise, help for others. I can’t imagine wanting my manager or friend to post this about me. And btw most of these awards are pay to play

If you have to use WhatsApp because some people in your life refuse to budge- you can now set up a username in account settings. This goes live this week, I think. It doesn’t make WhatsApp any better but it avoids sharing name and number. But Signal is still better for your privacy
Everything is awful, but one nice thing has been replacing the plastic grass with clover. It has brought bees and ladybirds to the garden within a year. It is so much nicer and easy to grow even on poor soil.
I share this type of social media post so you can all see how ridiculous the adults in schools can be. WHY is this needed? WHY not just make a video and share it internally? Because the adults cannot set an example of digital discernment, they set a terrible example. Just don’t put stuff on socials
The social media ban I want is on parents posting their children online Especially the “funny” videos where a child falls or nearly has an accident because the damn adult is filming and has their hands occupied, example below. Also all of this is just csam material, look at the thousands of saves.

Ban social media but this man presents on radio one, is constantly on tv, and yet he and his PR consider this great and publish it . When we are supposed to be flagging DV and coercion in schools, people can publish this and still have media jobs.

Posting children on the open internet should be illegal without clear reasons for doing so. These two babies are on a popular TikTok account, it should be a private thing shared amongst family. But these two boys will grow up with this in their footprint . And nearly 1000 people have saved this too
