I may be regretting my choices

I had hoped to finish this ridiculous hood this week, but unfortunately I probably don't have sufficient tools to do so. 🧶 #knitsky

Here's a test panel for next month's colours. I've already learned so much (mostly about moisture management). But some of these are still really challenging to work with

This little lady came out ok. Just in time for me to switch to different colours and a different fabric.

Here's another wall piece. Not great progress this weekend. I figure I have 2 or 3 weekends worth of the building out the walls task left.

All this wood was transported to my house in a Toyota Matrix this afternoon. Also, previously, other amounts of wood, and this concrete.

Most of the wood I'm using for this (so far) is used, salvaged from where we took out some old walls. Some of it is more or less garbage but I'm making it work anyway. And at the same time it's absolutely gorgeous 65 year old Douglas Fir.

I have spent the afternoon making some of the 2x4 studs of my house pretend that they are 2x6s

Another year's worth of paintings. Easter must have been earlier this year than last year.

Working on the rim joist insulation in my basement, there's always two questions: What shape does the insulation have to be to cover what it needs to cover? And how the fuck do I wiggle it in there?

Well. This is going to be weird. Substantially different technique required. And I think I need to find a 6th and maybe seventh fabric. Non-cotton natural fibers.

Some of these are going to need to be ironed again before I use them for real. The question is, do I rotate between the fabrics all year? Or do I do several paintings on one kind of fabric before I move to the next?

Correction: I accidentally ordered five fabrics. Here's some teeny tiny sample strips to test colours on.
