Having clankers churn out content to feed the clankers is a futile game to play. Somewhere out there are real humans wanting to read real content, but being deafened by the roar of shit.

The good news? Claude figured out the problem and fixed it and now it's working again :) If you're curious how good (or bad) Claude does, the code is here: github.com/rmoff/kafka-.... This is 100% 'vibe' coded (I directed it, but literally don't know Java; the code is all Claude's fault/credit).
Vibe coded a connector for Kafka Connect. What could possibly go wrong? Oh. (counterpoint: in the case of this bug, I'm pretty sure a human could have fk'd it up the same way Claude did TBH)
