Once upon a time, every Winter Solstice, Odin Yulefather would ride though the sky on his eight-legged horse, Sleipnir. Children would leave boots full of hay out for his horse, and Odin would repay them with sweets or small toys. So that was a thing people thought was fun... 3/?
