Seen on Jack Scout, Silverdale this morning. A Gatekeeper, also known as a Hedge Brown and a Holly Blue.
The gentle colours of the bay. Taken from Silverdale this morning.😊 it needs to be opened up to see it in full I think.
‘Still’ a sculpture by Rob Mulholland. It stands in the water at St Fillans on Loch Earn.
The beauty of Scotland’s west coast. Loch Ailort and one of the Coulins over on Skye, taken from Arisaig.
Esthwaite ospreys. With one adult and three large chics, the nest was looking pretty crowded. The chics look like they will be fledging in a week or so.
The river Kent as it makes its way through the green of Levens Deer Park.
An enjoyable walk through Tilberthwaite to Little Langdale and back via Hodge Close. Redstart, Heath spotted orchid, a view of Bowfell from the spinning gallery at Stang End and a distant view of Langdale Pikes from Hodge Close quarry.
Walking home and just had my Phone with me, but the view across the fields and the light… I couldn’t resist, one of Coniston Hall and one across the fields and the lake to Brantwood.
One of the routes to Tarn Hows, over a recently paved pathway and in places over the bedrock.
A young heron, young cygnets, I just needed a lamb with that sheep for continuity.
Sunshine and the odd shower coming over The Old Man In Coniston today.
In search of some cooling shade today, I wandered through the woods around Coniston. A little cooler than it was on the fells yesterday.
It’s so hot in Coniston, the signpost are shrinking in the heat! #fingerpostfriday
I think it must be this one. Not particularly mega. Not particularly a town 😊
Using intentional camera movement to capture a lazy, hazy day on Walney Island.
A glass of rosé in the garden, or do I go in and watch the England match? 🤔
How about these for picnic tables and benches at Askam. I struggled to pull the bench a bit closer to the table 😂
Not much sunshine in Coniston today, but lots of roses as the garden hedge comes into full bloom.
Some of the smaller forms of wildlife seen at Hodbarrow, Millom today.
