I got James Corcoran's sketchbook yesterday in the post. It was really good, especially the colour pages.

Happy with how my Dutch sugar bread has come out today. I'll make fancy toast with it. I put peel and pearl sugar in it.

We had a little holiday in France, the gite was decorated with Tintin panels so that was cool. Here's some photos of Bourges.

We went to Preston to walk across the new tram bridge. Its only been open a week so its the newest bridge I've ever crossed.

Randomly came across a motte and bailey castle's site in this graveyard on our walk today in Penwortham, I'd never heard of it before. Only the mound is left. Sometimes Britain is cool.

Last night we went to see the Cardiacs in Manchester. They were still the best. Fairly deaf and knackered today.

Romiley Village market was back yesterday, it was good in the end. It was a cold day though.

Went to Salford to buy a gas hose and then went for a walk round Salford Quays. Not been there for years.

Here's the lion getting its lettuce at the end of the dance.

Today we went to watch the New Year Lion Dance at Chi Yip in Middleton. It went round the store so that was cool.

After this house it got really bleak. We got soaked through and very cold. Made it back in the end though after walking up a ridiculously steep road in pouring rain. I don't think we went the right way but it was hard to see.

Then it got really knackering.

We went to Hurst Green yesterday and tried to do the Tolkien walk there but it was way too wet. We ended up climbing a massive hill three times. It started well with this old hall and waterfalls.
