It wasn’t that statement that would trigger anyone. More like these kind of statements which just aren’t so.
A sanctimonious hockey blogger once lectured me about this very thing. They're still on X because of engagement, as if enough people read their dumb articles for it to matter.

Yes, I too am a Mainer who refers to "they" when talking generally about my home state, just as I'd do for any other state where I do not reside.
The same person with these 2 tweets. Sanctimonious hypocrisy is such a great look.
This is exactly what MAGA does when justifying why a problematic candidate is still someone they'd support (as long as the candidate is on their team--if the candidate is on the other team, then it's disqualifying)
Or the ones who have some petty axe to grind with the company for some reason, so that's all that matters.
