Iowa State Auditor, father, bowhunter, former prosecutor, pizza auditor. Running to be Iowa's next Governor. Public servant, not a politician.
Anyone suggesting Iowa’s federal funding is at risk because our office won't re-issue a six-year-old audit based on the Treasury Department playing politics either doesn’t understand the process or is in on the con. Read the full article here: https://bit.ly/3TxxzOc

For far too long, teachers have been the scapegoat for state government insiders who aren't setting them up for success, but instead siphoning tax dollars away from our kids & into the pockets of the wealthiest.
Im someone who believes we need to meaningfully fund public education, and I will always oppose the waste, fraud, and abuse of tax dollars no matter where it's found.
If you've ever wanted a picture, a town hall is a pretty great place to grab one... just saying. #TownHallTour2026 You can find the full schedule at robsand.com/townhalltour
It was a hot one out there this week but really glad I was able to talk with so many Iowans. #TownHallTour2026
I don't know about you but I think our new merch is pretty cool. It's all American-made & union-printed. You can get your own at store.robsand.com
Iowans understand that public service is not about the soundbite or the stump speech. It's about listening & working together to solve problems.
Making life more affordable. Improving transparency in government. Improving water quality. Addressing the cancer crisis. I'm the only candidate in this race willing to come to your community and talk to you directly about the issues that Iowa families are facing. #TownHallTour2026
Data centers owned by the richest companies in the world shouldn't get to dodge paying taxes while destroying our natural resources & driving up utility prices for hard-working families. If they are going to come to Iowa, they need to be responsible stewards of our land & pay their fair share.
It's been 10 years since Iowa privatized Medicaid under the promise of lower costs. Today, costs are rising faster, care is harder to access, and rural hospitals and clinics are closing. It's been a disaster, & I'm the only candidate in the race willing to do something about it.
Private schools get to pick and choose which students they accept — and under our current vouchers scheme, they're doing it on your dime without any accountability. As Governor, I'll strengthen oversight of the voucher program and fully fund our public schools.
Every town hall we host is open to all Iowans because when it comes to doing the job, party labels dont matter. RSVP to join us today! RobSand.com/townhalltour Reminder: Check time & location on your RSVP!
Holding open town halls should be a tenet for every public servant. That's why I called on my opponent to host 100 town halls across Iowa - not unannounced drop-ins, not ticketed fundraisers - just conversations with real Iowans about real issues. Unfortunately, he won't commit to that.
My opponent has been clear: he wants to further restrict access to abortion and threaten contraception, IVF, and surrogacy. If I'm governor, I won't let that happen.
The job of the State Auditor is to provide "watchful and responsible care" of taxpayer dollars. Despite those who have tried to limit our powers, our office has uncovered more waste, fraud, and abuse in a single term than any other State Auditor in Iowa history. Read More: https://bit.ly/4bBfLIf
Since 2017, I've made a simple promise to Iowans: I'll always show up and listen because that’s what public service is supposed to look like. I'll see ya today in Sibley, Rock Rapids, Le Mars, and Sioux Center. #TownhallTour2026 To RSVP: robsand.com/townhalltour
Political leaders in BOTH parties are willing to make you hate your friends & family as long as it means they get re-elected. I'm running to end all that. It's time to remind everyone that this is about public service, not politics.
A trailing economy that isn’t growing, some of the lowest wages in the country, and layoffs stacking up…the solution isn’t four more years of the failed status quo that got us here. Zach Lahn said he's committed to continuing Kim Reynolds' failed leadership. It’s time for change.
Iowans deserve a governor who will come to their community, talk with them about the issues, and find solutions. That's why I do 100 town halls every year. Thank you to all the Democrats, Republicans & independents who joined us tonight in Spirit Lake. #TownHallTour2026
“The proper function of a government is to make it easy for the people to do good, and difficult for them to do evil.” - Daniel Webster
For economic growth in Iowa, there's a few simple things that we can do to help. Here's a couple of them.
I believe showing up in Iowa communities matters. So here's another recap of our week on the road. #TownhallTour2026
Our political system is broken. We don't need more political operatives - we need public servants. That's why I'm running.
I'm proud to be born & raised in Decorah. Iowa is part of who I am & what this campaign is about.
Not surprising to see Iowa’s most powerful private club still trying to force Iowans to feel trapped into voting for them by reducing their options on the ballot. https://bit.ly/4gWKSS4
