Here are the two I baked, plus the little bit made from scraps (which we call "the nubbin" around here). They're as big as my palm.
The Child asked for a pair of slip-on checkerboard Vans, and even though I crumbled into dust after remembering how long it's been since I owned a pair of my own I was able to buy them for her.
ah yes, that time when The Child was in primary school and the photographer sent this home with the preview images
He looks like one of those Pre-Raphaelite babes swooning in a bower. #ProofOfCat

Couldn't work out what was doing this to my raspberries. Came down quite early this morning and startled a fox who was happily chowing down. I was not aware they liked fruit.
Went outside and spotted a semi-colon in the sky to the West. Could be a sign; could be a portent.
Initial "long" run of my first half-marathon training cycle in over 10 years. 12 km along the canals, dodging blossom-heavy elder branches and saying hello to all the birds. Gotta hand it to Morrisons: that is one HELL of a discount. (But a lot more than 1/3)
Fun with ASD-related aphasia. We wound up driving to the supermarket and showing her different items until wed finally realised she meant "chicken nuggets". She could wail "THIS IS A DISASTER" in the middle of the produce section, but could not summon "chicken nuggets" from her working memory.
The Child bought herself some live caterpillars a couple of weeks back. One of them has just woken up after a VERY intense puberty experience.
