Happy Father's Day, America 😞

A peaceful Father's Day vigil at Delaney Hall featured volunteers from the Sussex Visibility Brigade holding up letters spelling, "FREE THE DADS; CLOSE THE CAMPS." They hung neckties on the chain link fence. They sang songs and visited with families. They got assaulted by ICE for their trouble.

(2/3) Upon discovering its very demonic address, I investigated the club further. I believe that Crowley was, if not a regular patron, at least responsible for George Lazenby (James Bond himself) showing up to crown the Bunny of the Year in 1969 so he could meet his hero and show off his car decals.

Since Friday, hundreds of detainees in Newark's for-profit prison Delaney Hall have been on a hunger and work strike.
There are reports of poor living conditions, abuse and neglect, and inadequate medical care resulting in avoidable deaths.
ICE and Geo Group guards have been intimidating and punishing detainees and their families and dispensing violence against peaceful protesters outside.
STRIKERS ARE CALLING FOR:
1. An in-person meeting with the governor to directly observe conditions and hear testimony
2. Immediate release of elderly, pregnant and other vulnerable detainees
3. Meaningful review of all immigration cases and habeas corpus filings
4. An end to coerced signings of self-deportation/voluntary departure papers
WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
1. Go to Delaney Hall if you can and bring needed supplies. Those with medical and/or safety/deescalation training are most needed
2. Donate money to links in the text above
3. Call Governor Sherrill and ask her to return to Delaney and meet with the strikers. Also call other elected officials esp senators and congresspeople
