Sen/Rep:
I am writing to express my anger and fear about the Executive branch’s decision to bomb and attack the sovereign nation of Venezuela and to kidnap President Maduro and their first lady. This is by no means an endorsement of Maduro (he himself an authoritarian incapable of accepting an election defeat and who makes his country suffer) but a condemnation of a president who did not seek the approval of Congress and who appears to be in violation of international law (Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the charter of the United Nations).
This type of unilateral action taken by a guy who brags about having to take cognitive tests and who has already admitted that what he did is unconstitutional, and who has already said to reporters that our country will somehow be involved with Venezuela’s oil supplies—all before speaking to the American public or to your fellow senators or representatives about bombing a capital city—is the work of an utter lunatic unfit for the office of the presidency who only serves his own interests.
It makes our troops less safe, it erodes our relationships with democratic nations, it makes countries such as Taiwan and Greenland less safe, and ultimately it destroys our credibility as a functioning democracy. By destabilizing our world, we are ALL less safe in this country due to potential retaliation, sanctions, or terrorism.

I demand that these actions be investigated by you and your colleagues and that the president be impeached. To do anything less is a dereliction of your duty to serve and protect the people of the United States.

The president breaks international laws and bombs a sovereign nation and is fielding his own calls from press at 4:30 in the morning. To brag. Unfuckingbelievable. Call your reps. Demand impeachment.
