One of the totally new StoryGuiders coming out (hopefully) this month has sentient waste bins who teach about sorting recycling/trash during spring cleaning. Art by @notjustanacrobat.bsky.social, and I LOVE how they took my weird "sentient waste bins" prompt and gave them all awesome personalities.
Aw yeah!! Got my copy of Imagine Queer Worlds by @wranglerofchaos.bsky.social and Makenzie Marts in the mail today! This is a wonderful guide on world and character creation, and I wrote one of the book's example characters, Bet, to help spark some ideas!
Got to help an awesome dad and his very cool kiddo make a kid-friendly/not TOO scary Ghost Busters themed TTRPG during the workshop at @opalgrove.games yesterday! Glad for the opportunity, and I'm really excited for this family to have a TTRPG just for them!
Woke up with the urge to bake, so... first time making biscotti! Two flavors - one is almond and vanilla, and the other is orange and cardamom:
Well... Today is a snow day! Not the most snow we've had, but it's that heavy snow that's only a couple degrees from slush.
I'm excited for all the new games and gear I get to check out from Pax U!! Some I'll review for @ttrpgkids.com or Gaming the Systems, and some are going to be just for me... And I'm looking forward to them all. Shout-outs to game and gear creators below!!
My games/books and so many amazing others are at the @ipr.bsky.social both at PAX U this weekend!! Find Making a TTRPG for Your Particular Kid, Bakers Charge!, and A Construct's Nature tomorrow before the show ends!
Made it into PA last night! 4 hrs to go to Philadelphia still, and the views up in mountains/clouds... Very cool.
Getting hyped putting materials together for this!! I'll have a full edu TTRPG there (my game, Photosynthians, which is free when itchio is back online) to check out, break down, and maybe play with everyone to show how to put your edu topics into characters, settings, AND mechanics!
