First shot of the film! I think I may be hoping for too much from a 1960’s British movie, even if it is from Hammer!😂😂 @eofftv.bsky.social @bunnydarke.bsky.social
Voodoo is a wonderful religion, I am hoping The Witches treats it kindly. My Mom brought me some genuine ritual items back from a recent visit to Benin (very much exchanged with consent - the guy who made them even sent me a video of how to use them!). 🇧🇯 @eofftv.bsky.social @bunnydarke.bsky.social
Wait for me guys, I’ll be there in an hour and a half or so! @eofftv.bsky.social @bunnydarke.bsky.social
I’m absolutely loving this book! It masterfully reawakens Stoker’s world in a way that feels urgently relevant while remaining authentic and true to the period and Stoker’s vision. Gripping and beautifully written.
@eofftv.bsky.social @bunnydarke.bsky.social Now watching: ‘Saruman: The Wilderness Years’
@eofftv.bsky.social @bunnydarke.bsky.social @evolutionofhorror.bsky.social Peter Cushing leaping over tables & swinging from windmills is impressive n’ all, but he just isn’t up there with Sylvia sending those Fox Hunters in the wrong direction. Bravo!👏 👏 🦊. #SensitivityToTheWellfareOfWildAnimals.
Here we go! I’ve been looking forward to this one. @bunnydarke.bsky.social @eofftv.bsky.social
I’ve accepted defeat in finding an affordable copy of Hysteria (for now), but I’m all prepared for the next film of the list! @bunnydarke.bsky.social @eofftv.bsky.social @evolutionofhorror.bsky.social
Your error could be using worms: they’re not as popular with most birds as the popular idiom would have you believe. Next time try to fill your open mouth with a variety of insects, seeds, and live grubs, like these. I’m sure you’ll get better results, and a wider variety of species.
Kids are back to school, no shift at work today, so it’s back to business. @bunnydarke.bsky.social @eofftv.bsky.social #HammerTime
The Gorgon: Now we’re cooking! This was a delight all the way through. Everything feels right, and the interplay between Lee and Cushing at the end is just magnificent. Very happy to see Hammer back on form. @eofftv.bsky.social @bunnydarke.bsky.social #HammerTime
@bunnydarke.bsky.social I spent the whole of ‘Nightmare’ thinking David Knight was the sweet shop guy from Willy Wonka. I was very smug about working it out myself. It turns out that it’s not that guy, and I’ve never seen David Knight in my life!😂 @eofftv.bsky.social
“Janet, it’s no wonder you keep having these terrible nightmares. Might I suggest trying to sleep without keeping this monstrosity beside your bed?”
They’ve arrived! Now it’s time to play catch up. @bunnydarke.bsky.social @eofftv.bsky.social
On a night shift tonight, so this morning is the perfect time to watch the next #HammerTime film before my afternoon nap. @eofftv.bsky.social @bunnydarke.bsky.social
At this point, I feel that James really needs to start reconsidering his life choices. #SilentHill
I loved Osgood Perkins’ ‘Keeper’. Gave it 4 stars on Letterboxd yesterday, but have bumped it up 1/2 a star today as it’s the first horror in years to give me nightmares. There’s just something about it! It’s got some really disturbing imagery, but something more subtle is going on underneath.
Well, I absolutely loved the finale of Stranger Things. I wouldn’t have wanted to end such a brilliant, cultural behemoth of a show in any other way. It made me do some emotions!
