This is my Roslin. She had ACL surgery (TPLO) two months ago. We have a long way to go but her X-rays today show perfect healing and we can gently resume our search and rescue training.
This is my Roslin. She had knee surgery this morning. I miss her. My older dog passed away last month. I need my girl home. We look for missing people together in K9 SAR
I just lost this guy this week, but many a morning he would climb on my chest and snuggle into it before we would go downstairs He made stretching hard too! His fur was unusual and impossibly soft.
I lost my SAR partner tonight. It was unexpected-ish. Hug your pups for me.
Thanks for the reminder. My brain is a disaster. Here’s my 14-year old heeler enjoying the snow.
And here’s some more deer—this one in my radio station’s industrial park lol
It’s National Labrador Day. Here’s mine. (After she was rinsed off for rolling in 💩)
And this is Helo. He is a retired search dog who makes me wish they could live forever and ever. He is 14.
This is Roslin. She is learning how to be a search dog. Mostly she’s just a mess right now but that’s ok because she’s still a pup.
She’s stunning. Here is my working cat, Chief Rodent Control Officer Mačka (Maschka— Macedonian for “cat”). She is 10– ancient for a barn cat.
I truly loved it. I remember logging on with my sister after we watched a particularly great episode and a cast member showed up in your comments. Also may I introduce you to my search K9s: Helo and Roslin
I trained my new search dog (puppy) this morning. And my retired search dog got some work in too. It is a good anchor for my brain.
@rboomhower.bsky.social I was putting books back on my shelves after a flood and found this autographed copy, given to me by a friend who met you once!
I'm just a news director at a small public radio station, trying to cover impact and access with just a couple reporters. Here is my retired cadaver K9 Helo, a rare long-coated Australian Cattle Dog, and my cadaver K9-in-training, a yellow Lab puppy Roslin. Both named for Battlestar Galactica
My new search and rescue K9 is a blast. Learning quickly and so busy!! Almost six months old.
