The WRU Board can't say they weren't warned about this. Back in September 2025 we asked rugby fans whether they thought the Board were qualified to make decisions about the future of the game. The answer was emphatic. 86% said "No" gwladrugby.wordpress.com/2025/09/29/t...

All this money spent on consultants but the WRU are now crying that they can’t pay for academies - another massive u-turn. I’ve got to say, this doesn’t inspire confidence in anyone involved in running the governing body, especially the board. WTF are they doing?
"Period of stability" "Co-create the future" "Collaborative work" "Shared understanding" "Consensual" These are alien concepts to the WRU. Welsh rugby is FUCKED.
