@runcamille
Hi I’m Camille 😄👋! I’m an Ultrarunner, World Record holder, scientist, & coach propelled by tacos & joy 🌮💃! 🌈 Autistic/ADHD. Coaching ➡️ runwithcamille.com🏃♀️💪
Throughout my career I’ve had the privilege of working with lots of brands on product testing & launches 🚀. I’m personally excited to see how brands integrate 3D scanning, 3D printing, AI/automation, and consumer feedback into shoe/clothing “print on demand” products 🚀.
Thank you to the photographers & volunteers/runners for capturing memories along the way and to my PR rep Tieja for coordinating updates. I hope you all liked my tie-dye- it was my vibe for Vermont 🌈💃! 📷: @JudithGoPhoto
Thank you to my parents for your support and encouragement 💕, my hosts Phillips & Clorice for taking care of me, to RD Amy Rusiecki for your kindness, to the volunteers, fans, fellow runners who cheered us on, my “trail angel” Adrien, & Judy for the post-race support 🤗! 7/🧵
I’m incredibly grateful to have finished my first trail 100 since 2024, placing 3rd female in 18:31 alongside the amazing Megan Eckert & Joanna Fortier. Congratulations! 🎉 I was also the first woman over 40, Solo division, & first time competing in Neurodiverse category 💚! 6/🧵
20 miles in, I wasn’t sure my body was strong enough to finish. I was doing a lot of “positive self talk”- smile 😄, be grateful 🙏, cheer other people on, and take it an aid station at a time. Finishing would be a victory 😄🙌! 4/🧵
While I felt woefully underprepared for Vermont, I decided to dive in & do it 🌈💃! I’ve since been processing how awesome my @vermont100mile experience was & so glad I did it 💕🎉! 3/🧵
I’ve spoken openly about overcoming chronic insomnia, Autistic burnout, & rebalancing my female hormones during perimenopause. My mental, emotional, & physical health have all been tested! I’m doing the best I can w/ where I am right now- this is all I can ask of myself 💚. 2/🧵
The Vermont 100 marked my return to Ultra-Trail 100s for the first time since 2024 🌈💃🎉! It’s been a heck of a journey getting back to feeling good enough to train and race again! 1/🧵
I’m incredibly grateful to Amy, Vermont Adaptive, & the entire Vermont 100 team for helping make our sport more welcoming & inclusive. 💚 I hope more races consider similar support 🕊️✌️! You can support Vermont Adaptive through my fundraiser: www.pledgereg.com/5678/camille... 📷: Jenn Perry
Not every disabled athlete needs accommodations, & everyone’s needs are different. Reasonable accommodations remove unnecessary barriers so disabled athletes can participate on a more equitable playing field. 🕊️🌟 Small, thoughtful changes can make a meaningful difference! 6/🧵
💚 A virtual discussion where disabled athletes shared experiences, coping strategies, & self-advocacy. 💚 Encouragement to request additional accommodations before race day. 💚 Disabled athlete rules published in advance, w/ many accommodations already built in the race. 5/🧵
💚 Support for managing sensory environments. 💚 A smaller pre-race briefing for athletes who preferred a quieter setting. 💚 Colored tape on race bibs so aid station volunteers knew an athlete might prefer quieter communication. 4/🧵
Disability categories are about visibility, inclusion, & equity ⚖️. They recognize disabled athletes & help create an environment where we feel comfortable requesting reasonable accommodations when needed. Some of the ways the Vermont 100 supported Neurodiverse athletes 👇 3/🧵
Being diagnosed as Autistic/ADHD, I was excited when RD Amy Rusiecki shared the news w/ me last year. Competing in the Vermont 100s Neurodiverse category this year was incredibly meaningful! I felt seen, welcomed, & supported. 💚 Disabled athletes belong in our sport ✌️! 2/🧵
The Vermont 100 is a fundraiser for Vermont Adaptive 🙌💚! In 2017, they became the first Ultra Trail race to offer disability divisions for athletes with Visual & Mobility impairments. In 2025, they expanded that commitment by adding a Neurodiverse category. 🌈🧠 1/🧵
Pairing my Vermont 100 belt buckle with my Jordache jeans- it’s a vibe 🤠💃🪩!
A throwback to my 6 Day World Best in March 2024 (3:17am 🌖!), breaking the 33 year old record formerly held by the amazing Sandra Barwick from New Zealand 💕🦸🏻♀️🌟. I’m looking forward to giving 6 Days another shot this fall and going much FURTHER next year- to the moon 🦸♀️🚀🌖!
Mom sent this 💕✌️! Never stop being a good human. We can make a difference in the world shining our light, color, and hearts 💫💖🌈🌎. Have a great week 🙌!
Support your local businesses 😄✌️💕📍! I’m enjoying some banana cream pie from Sydney’s Sweet Shoppe on our backporch, with a spoon 🥄, and a Shiner beer 🍻! We love Sydney and her pies and sweets 🍰🥧💕. Have a great day 😄✌️!
What a difference a week makes 🙌! I focused on recovery last wk, lots of sleep, & got in the gym for heavy squats, deadlifts, pushups, & bench press 🏋️♀️💪. I felt so much better after the gymwork. It’s life changing! I’m planning my next races. The best is yet to come 🦸♀️🚀🌖!
Thank you everyone for your support of my 48Hr World Record attempt at 6 Days in the Dome 💕⭕️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️! I made it 78.5 miles and 285 laps on the indoor track. I’m so, so grateful I felt good enough to race again and go as far as I did 💕🙏. Been a long journey! Keep building- the best is yet to come 🚀!
Here goes another 48Hrs- let the magic come out 💃🚀🌖! I’m dedicating the race to our wonderful Mom, Susan 🤗! The tracking and lifestream links are in my profile and below: Tracking ⭕️🏃♀️: my.raceresult.com/405755/ Livestream 🎥: onlysports.live/channel/mike...
I’m working on getting my “trail legs” back 💃⛰️! I’ve felt so much better in recent weeks getting my female hormones figured out and feeling like I can finally return to racing. I’m going back to my roots crossing road/track/trail. Prepare to launch soon 🦸♀️🚀🌖!
In a world that feels chaotic right now, I wanna stay true to who I am- the sweet & kind girl I’ve always been. I would rather live a life w/ hope- than a life w/ despair. Spread kindness, joy, peace, love, integrity, authenticity, & being a good human. Happy Pride Month 🌈✌️!
I feel like I’ve had to go back in time 30 yrs and remember the basics that my high school coaches taught us! 🎥: Freshman runner basics Last wk I blogged about my hormone replacement therapy experience- will work on a follow up! www.camilleherron.com/blog/2026/6/...
Behind the scene at the Forrest Gump Hill 😄! The cameraman asked me where we were & jokingly made me realize we can call the infamous hill the “Camille Hill” now 🏃♀️🏜️! This was a dream run 💫! Thank you to the Sri Chinmoy Peace Run Team for making my dream come true & for a great cause ✌️.
New Run Ultra podcast 🎙️! Robin and I discuss my 2:37 marathon PB in inov-8s, clean sport & integrity advocacy w/ @sagecanaday.bsky.social , retaliation, Wikipedia, gender equality, life as an unsponsored athlete, and the inspiring mission behind the Peace Run ✌️. open.spotify.com/episode/5Ng9...
In 1989 when I was 7, we ran with our Dad while he carried the Olympic torch as part of the US Olympic Festival in OKC. I kept the purple t-shirt 💜. It was an honor carrying the Peace Torch through the sacred Navajo Nation and kids joining in along the way 💫🗽✌️🏜️!
Here’s the start of The Peace Run at Valley of the Gods in the Navajo Nation 🗽🏃♀️🏜️! Drony got to start with us 😄👋🚁. We ran to Monument Valley with the Peace torch. The scenery is amazing, and it was so cool to have kids come out to run with us 😍✌️.
Part 2 of what shoes I’m currently training in! ✳️ Nike Vaporfly for speed/strides/drills ✳️ Salomon Ultra Flow for softer and more technical trails ✳️ Many more shoes/“tools” in the closet 👷♀️👟! 1/🧵
