The NYPL Digital Collections API is being quietly sunsetted in August. The only announcement I can find is behind the dev login for API access. When I look for more info, all that's returned is articles from 2012-2016 announcing this leap forward in public info access. Anyone know anything?

I didn’t think we’d be able to see the northern lights with the naked eye in the center of the city but I love to be amazed.

$5 and a certain willingness to sacrifice blooms should another snow blow through (pansies are pretty cold hardy though. And worth it). I rushed to plant them yesterday just so I would have the delight of coming home to them today in the cold.

Flew to CA last Friday to drive my grandma’s car back to KC. I had steeled myself for a slog; instead I had an absolute blast eating snacks lovingly prepared by my grandma’s partner, listening to audiobooks and marveling at the scenery.

My little pattypan squash plan got huge, took over an entire garden bed, and has been producing blossoms for months. But this is the first (tiny, unripe) squash I’ve managed to snatch from the jaws of the ravenous bunnies.

Made it to the sunflower patch last weekend, right after the bloom. There’s an urgency to it, trying to catch not just the fattest blossoms but the best light. Fourth year in a row.
