Follow up: first it turned the water black-red, then it turned my fingers purple. As tasty as could be expected, given the poor growing conditions this year. Will plant again. Double Red corn from West Coast Seeds.

A cob of corn. The cob itself is blood red, the husks are red fading to white, and the kernels are red in the top middle, fading to white.
Described by housemate as "demon eyes corn".

A replacement cord end with a set of googley eyes affixed. Viewed from the cord end, it appears the cord is being munched on by the end.

Me standing next to tomato shrubbery. I am 6' tall. The tomatoes are topping out at eye level. They are dense packed tomato monoliths.

Just the tomatoes. 4x5.5' of tomato in a square trellis.

Gotta get better at mushroom ID. That seems to be all that's really thriving here any more.

Two distinct patches of mushrooms. The one on the foreground is more pointy conical and has an orange blush to the top and the ones in the background are round and spindly and dark. There's grass all around.

Honestly, just refinishing some stocks that have had a rough time over the past half century or so. Overnight soak in citri strip, clean off the gunk in the morning and get steaming and sanding.
