I received this as a gift a little while back and finally got around to reading it. Tusk Love was pretty much what I expected and fun to read. A Romance first with a bit of fantasy adventure. It is however riddled with romance tropes so if you love them you'll love this if not well... #booksky

Ads that offered to write the book for me. I doubt I am unique in this nor in my reaction.
No, no, no!
Even if my book ends up terrible it will be MINE.
As the process went on each step came with new AI offers.
Wondering if your book is good? AI will tell you.
Editing? We can do that for you. Cover art? AI’s got you covered.
Every step came with an offer to make it faster, easier, cheaper.
“You can do it all on your own with the help of AI.”
No need to get feedback from people, no need to get an artist to do your cover.
I said no I will always say no! Because my writing is a work of passion, of hope, of connection.
It is me putting myself, my thoughts out into the world.
And even though I can barely draw a circle freehand, it would be the height of hypocrisy to disavow AI for writing then use it for my cover.
I am not special for this.
There are so many talented authors out there and most of whom HATE AI.
Will there be grifters who use it to try to make quick $$?
Sure, but not me and not the uncountable authors, indie and trad who will continue to write with their hands, with their minds and with their hearts.

In which an author takes concepts, ideas, words and attempts to distill them into gold or an elixir of immortality. Yet most often ends up with merely a solution of their imagination. Sometimes we deem it good, sometimes not and then we try again. We keep trying adding new ingredients, adjusting the timing and all other aspects. Because the beauty is not in the solution. It is in the process."
