60) The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet This is basically a series of vignettes about a small work crew on a ship that goes on a long trip to build a warp gate in the galactic core. The actual story is less important than the characters interacting and building relationships. Really charming.
59) The Fury of the Gods John Gwynne is an amazing writer, who writes brutal, beautiful fantasy fiction of a type that feels rare these days. His books always feel slow to start before becoming engrossing. If you want a story of red war, vikings, and warring with the gods, you can't go wrong here.
