Senior Editor at Comicon.com. Catch him on The Collectors' Desk podcast. Talks about comics and cystic fibrosis and monsters a lot. The "M" stands for aMish.
Pickleball feels a lot like bowling in that I’d probably be better at it if I were really, really drunk. Also, I’m pretty sure this isn’t a real sport.
Never realized how ripped Vader was. Dude has striations and veins and shit.
I have a really high spice tolerance. My eldest decided to test it with that chip challenge thing. It did not go the way he hoped.
My eldest is out there in the world committing war crimes. What kind of feral swamp goblin does this?
Clouds Rest is a killer. 3,200 feet elevation gain over 7 miles to get in. Frequent ups and downs means the 7 miles out are just as hard. Worth it for 360-degree views of Hetch Hetchy, Yosemite Valley, & the backside of Half Dome, but I'll only do it once per decade. Talk to me again in 2035 or so.
One build stage has been holding up this 1:2 scale Darth Vader for MONTHS. Finally arrived last week. Completed 30 stages last night. Birthday well spent.
I really wanted to get one of these to put a junk card in and walk around Pokekon like Logan Paul. They're sixty five bucks, though, and that falls well outside my convention troll budget. pokekonlv.com
Meet me! See me! Get inspired! Sometimes I can’t tell if these PR guys are taking the piss. I will definitely be in Vegas this weekend, hosting Pokekon LV. Come say hi.
I’ve been waiting for one out of stock part on this Darth Vader build since August. It finally arrived today. Now I have 30 stages to build to catch up. It was a dead standstill without that one little baggie.
Apparently, I refused delivery of this thing I really, really needed today, at my home in Default, US. My bad. Thanks for trying, Amazon.
Usually they just put ‘have a nice day’ or something. Today, I got a riddle.
I am not a small man, but hanging out with Ray Hurd makes me look like a hairy child. Legit 6’10”. That’s as big as The Undertaker.
UnRivaled LV last weekend. Got to moderate stuntman Bruce Willis' stunt double Stuart F Wilson's very first convention panel. In the course of the conversation, we discovered we both know Fireball Lawrence, & Stu even knows one of my high school friends (she's also a stunt double).
Feels good to flip over an omnibus for one of your favorite stories to find your own pull quote from a 2021 review.
These are from the same manufacturer. The trio is supposedly based on the 1978 film, but so is that solo Bilbo. I don't understand why they didn't use the previous Bilbo mold as reference for the second set. This bugs me way more than it should.
The wildest thing from Diecast SuperCon was the live viewing numbers. I knew that Go Live Vegas was streaming our panels live, but I had no idea how big their reach was. The Mayans panel had over 4k viewers. That’s huge, but Mindy Cohn and Mackenzie Phillips drew 41k. Forty one THOUSAND. Mind blown.
Wasn’t what I came in for, but the artist I had an appointment with called in sick today. I’ve been sitting on this one for a while, and today’s walk-in artist (Peeps!) does patches, so…
“This is what we signed up for. This is who we are.” Hanging with the homies from Mayans MC on yesterday’s featured panel at Diecast SuperCon. This is my real job.
I forgot that I had strapped Zrek into the front passenger seat for this ride to his new home. Just got the jump scare of my life when his arm moved in my peripheral vision. I wish I could say I learned from this experience, but I promise I will forget again.
I guess ‘Bakersville’ does kind of sound like ‘Bakersfield.’ I do not believe this package will arrive today, if ever.
They’re definitely going to think I was doing blow in here. (It’s collagen powder, super greens, pre-workout, creatine, and fiber.)
