Gonna go see Backrooms on Friday. Waiting for it got me wanting to rough doodle spaces I've seen in my dreams, usually nightmares. The weird entry hallway that feels old and moldy, and where I'm trying to avoid a monster down the stairs by hanging off the railing and upper floor.
The more documentation comment tools Godot gives me, the more I MUST write for my future dumbass self for reference. But seriously though, you should check out the lerp smoothing lecture if you're interested in that stuff.
Did you know you can make the operating system create a popup error window in Godot? You do now. I love reading the documentation out of boredom and discovering more and more things that are useful or low level.
Here's something fun I learned today while staring at the command line. When a player closes the game with the window's X button, resources that aren't freed or dereferenced can cause memory leaks. Connecting a method where you do all the cleanup to the window's close signal does the trick.
