and it’s so hot, cause we’re in hell.
This is the most interesting part of that article to me, I knew this number was low but didn’t realize it was that low
Currently reading: The Clan of the Cave Bear Earth’s Children, Book One by Jean M. Auel 📚 I’m enjoying this for what it is, but after what feels like a dozen grave violations, all death penalty ones too, even I am wondering why Ayla can’t just respect the ways of the Clan? Is she stupid??
Finished reading: What We Can Know by Ian McEwan 📚 The conceit of this book is really my jam; however, the academic recursion was almost too much for even me, and there was a major plot point involving a grad student revolt against… a class they signed up for?! Confused about that one still. ★★★☆☆
Obviously you shouldn’t (you can’t, really!) take this kind of rhetoric seriously but imagine everything that’s implied by responding this way to the banal observation that people love to buy crap on Temu
It’s weird people keep building mythology around what using these things is like
All the comments are “I already learned about this in Who Framed Roger Rabbit” and almost none of them note that the linked Wikipedia article doesn’t actually say this
My MIL found out about my new interest in film cameras so now I’ve got two. I actually maybe should’ve mentioned it to her before going to eBay but I had no idea she’d taken a photography class in 1981!
I reactivated because I wanted to try out the ATProto IG knockoff and the problem with having one account for everything is my profile on there looks like this
I mostly like this poster fwiw but this is exactly, like word-for-word exactly what people who refused to vote for Harris over Gaza were and are saying
Animation is shockingly poor quality, barely above YouTube-slop level. If the Kremlin is funding this they’re not being very generous
This opinion that ICE is bad but it’s kind of good when they go after nuns feels pretty rage-baity
Okay I admit this opposite strategy is probably not the right call either
this is the originating post I think but mostly I mean I missed the various funny jokes made in response, that’s what I want to see on my internet
In a stunning reversal of prior positions, I’ve actually gone purchased my four-year-old a phone. The phone:
I also think I’d think I was straight without the Internet so don’t think I’m totally dismissing this argument but I very much think “thanks to the internet, I realized I am a Nazi” is at least as common
Why does everybody think the campaign statements are the be-all-end-all of policy
No way the guy who spent months going “oh well we can’t know what’s in Graham Platner’s heart” is posting this
This thread caught my eye because this guy has my dad’s name haha, but the sentiment is so pervasive in parenting spaces and I find it really anxiety inducing (but I have talked before about how almost all parenting social media content feels very anxiety inducing)
Yesterday I got this little camera to take along to the family vacation. I actually forgot to take any pictures with my phone on day one!
What if we worded this: “There’s nothing inherently problematic about men who don’t want their wives to work” — actually it does sound a little problematic, doesn’t it?
