I don't know how I missed this zucchini growing in my garden! It's huge! But there it was today, peeking out from between the leaves.
Here's my drawing of it, with "stickers" on it because fuck AI, it doesn't get to scrape my art.
Harvested the first broccoli crowns, probably a little later than I should have, and some spinach from the garden. With the heatwave due to hit this next weekend, that'll probably be the end for the spinach.
. @moviessilently.bsky.social @czedwards.bsky.social This is a request for advice. I got a cheapy flat hose with slits in it to do a drip irrigation of my squash bed. I hooked it up to the regular hose then this happened! The metal part of the hose came off from the rubber! Any ideas?
One of my Bok Choi pots, with said soil combo. You can see some of the baby leeks poking out. I think the front one is about ready to harvest! Gonna have to make some Bok Choi, leek and chicken soup this weekend!
I harvested some leeks I planted a little over a year ago. They were starting to bolt. I probably should have pulled them a week ago, but the barometric swings had me feeling pre-migrainy so I wasn't able to. Hopefully I wasn't too late!
I did a bunch today. Took about 5 minutes each. It's very relaxing, actually.

Finished loosening the soil in the round garden & adding some perlite to it so it hopefully won't compact as much. Then I got my baby broccoli starts planted. The plastic is to keep Peanut Butter from running across the garden bed. 🐕
Took a nap and woke up to find there'd been a light dusting of snow! It didn't stick to the ground much, but there's patches of it here and there I swept of the ramp to the porch & the steps up to the back, so they're clear for now.

@theotherhappyplace.bsky.social just thought I'd share that my carpal tunnel pain is acting up too and that wrapping my hand & arm in a sticky ace bandage is helping. I put Care By Design CBD/THC lotion on at bedtime & that helps too 💜
