Found even more buttons to add to the container??

I love these thrifted pants I picked up for work but they have always been too long! I hemmed the pant legs so they float perfectly right above the ground. Incredibly stretchy fabric continues to be my enemy, but I’m mostly happy with this hem! (And bonus pic of my handsomest little man)

This dress has been missing part of its closure for ages. I took the opportunity to shift up the existing closure a few inches and added in the missing half! Hand sewing these in took MUCH long than I anticipated—is there a way to not hand sew these in and use a machine??

Paused my mending to do some button organizing that I meant to do…years ago 😅

If you followed my previous mending thread, you may remember this Big Trouble in Little China tank top. I’ve been enjoying its cropped length but the armpit holes were bizarrely long and the fabric would bunch up on my sides. I made them two inches smaller and much more comfortable to wear!

True to form, I’m beginning my sewing thread by cropping an oversized shirt. My favorite shirts to workout in are large men’s shirts cropped to hit me at my waist for plenty of airflow while I’m moving and grooving 💪🏻 I haven’t worn this shirt in years and I’m excited to bring new life to it!

First cross stitch of 2026 and I am obsessed with it!! 🐝 I tweaked the pattern The Humble Bee by DominionSisters 🧵🪡

My best friend and I are gifting each other books at the beginning of each month throughout 2026 and I am SO EXCITED! We added the challenge of only being able to swap books found at used book stores too. For January I received The Scarlet Pimpernel 📚

It’s getting too dark to continue on, but I am so proud of completing ~75% of my to-do pile! Not to sound too earnest, but I think it’s very cool to tweak clothes when possible to extend their closet life and minimize consumption ✨

Projects 10-11 feature the same shirt in different colors. These are great to wear under cardigans at work, but hit me juuust too low to look right. So I reduced the body by an inch and it’s wild how much more flattering that makes these shirts!

Project 9 was SO SATISFYING!! I’ve had these paper bag waist shorts for years and I don’t love the way that waist type looks on me. But these shorts are incredibly comfy so I didn’t want to lose them either. I removed the belt and belt loops, tucked in the paper bag excess, hemmed, and trimmed! 🪡

Projects 6-8 were more t-shirt fixes via cutting the bottom. I think that’s all of the shirts done! (Famous last words??)

Project 5 was another speedy shirt slash! While out at a book club, the restaurant was promoting a new whiskey and gave us all free shots and shirts. I love taking shirts like this and cropping them into workout tees! 🪡

Project 4 was very satisfying! The skirt was ROUGH with a brown zipper and fraying hem. I took out the zipper as the fabric is incredibly stretchy and made a new hem. Fits like a dream! 🪡

Project 3 was speedy! One of my favorite things to do to make a t shirt that doesn’t sit quite right on my body more wearable, is to chop off the end so it hits where I want it to on my hips. Sydney Graham has a great t-shirt hemming YouTube video if you’re interested, but I prefer a raw hem.

Project 2 was sewing up a giant rip in the leg and hemming these khakis! 🪡

Starting easy with Project 1 to get a quick win! The v on top makes this shirt too scandalous for my corporate office environment, so I just sewed it closed.

It’s that time of the year where I gather up all of my clothing projects and do a sewing sprint! While getting through all of these is over ambitious, I think I can knock out half 🧵

Recipe #2 is Viennese Fingers! Despite knowing that the dough felt a little too loose, I put my faith into Mary Berry and ended up with some flat fingers. They tasted DELICIOUS however once the chocolate set! Rating: 3/5 stars

I hope my cats can bring you a moment of peace. They fell asleep after battling who would get to play with the giant llama toy (neither won).
