A new restaurant is opening locally. Saw this exchange on a facebook post by the restaurant where they used gen AI to design the storefront. Paying for artists/designers is a waste of money apparently! At least myself and others are aware to avoid this place before it even opens.

"thank you for your opinion.I find it somewhat surprising that you think money should be wasted on paying someone to create a design of something that can be mocked up using today's technology. All work carried out on the building will be skilled tradesman, including the design and installation of the signage which we've requested look like our Al design. Unfortunately technology is effecting these jobs certainly not us, we intend to bring as many job opportunities to our project as possibly but we have to stick to a budget as we are a small independent business and we are funding through our founder members, we feel we have an obligation to them to spend the membership fees as carefully as possible."

The whole response pissed me off. The end paragraph is bollocks, we know the meetings haven't been open or honest, and Streeting flat out ignored the trans kids and their families that he spoke to.

Not sure what to post on here, but I want to post more than I did at the other place, so I'll start with the autumn wreath I made last month (amateur crafter) Featuring the hands of @dariusthenerd.bsky.social

An autumn wreath. The base is brown and it is covered with dried flowers, fake flowers, dried berries, fake wooden acorns and mushrooms & real dried mushrooms - all in various shades of red, orange, white, brown and green. At the top sits a burlap/hessian bow with some thin strands of orange ribbon throughout. Being held up by OPs husband.
