A small moth with a metallic blue/green colouring on a pink flower.
The females of both genera have very similar, simple antennae (not comb-like). Consequently, definitive identification of the species almost always requires dissection and microscopic examination of the genitalia by an entomologist.

Red Stone Lake is of glacial origin and is situated at an altitude of 2,583 meters in the municipality of Morgex, in the Aosta Valley. Patches of snow are still visible. The mountain on the right, which encloses the lake's basin, is Becca Pouegnenta (2,827 m).

The Oriental poppy is a herbaceous perennial from the Papaveraceae family, native to Asia.
The cultivar 'Brilliant' is a proven horticultural selection. This plant has sturdy stems 70 cm to about 1 m tall. It forms a bush reaching 45 cm in height (due to foliage) and 50 cm in width.
Flowering begins in early June and continues into July.

The tree can grow to 25 metres (82 ft) in height, though 10 m (33 ft) is more common in cooler climates. The bark is smooth and grey, almost elephantine.

The alternate leaves are narrow and sharp-toothed, rugose above and tomentose below, 5–15 centimetres (2–6 in) long and dark grey/green throughout the year, fading to a pale yellow before falling in autumn.

The apetalous wind-pollinated flowers are perfect (hermaphrodite, having both male and female organs), small and green, either singly or in small clusters.

The fruit is a small, dark-purple berry-like drupe, 1 cm wide, hanging in short clusters.
