Getting more recognizable now I think! I do enjoy leaving the central identifying thing until last. :P

Work-in-progress cross stitch in an embroidery hoop. In the center is a humanoid torso that's either very stylized or not human. It's in various shades of purple and the head and arms aren't done yet. It's surrounded by flowers, a tree trunk, grass, and other greenery.

Progress update, now with blues!

Embroidery featuring round blue flowers that are currently closed. They're in the bottom right corner of a rectangular piece of fabric. There's also a tree trunk going up the right-hand side, and at its base are some small grassy mounds, green plants, and mushrooms. There's nothing in the middle of the fabric yet.

I've been bad about posting @desertbus.org craft updates around here but I have been working on it! In fact, at this point I've done about 80 hours of stitching. So have a teaser.

A close-up of one corner of an embroidery piece. There are green grassy mounds with small plants and mushrooms growing around them, and a brown tree trunk going up one edge. The top edge isn't fully in shot but there are drippy light purple bits hanging down from the tree at the top of the photo. The fabric is a deep navy colour. Sitting on top of the fabric is a set of embroidery thread in greens, blues, purples, and reds.

I love them.

Hey does cozy queer romantasy sound good to anyone here? Because my friend's novel "How to Lose a Goblin in Ten Days" comes out on Tuesday and it's a delight. Please go check it out (and give a local bookstore some love if you can)!

My @desertbus.org craft is finally done and getting framed! Been a long time between updates because I was focused on just getting it finished in time. Ended up taking over 250 hours to cross stitch. If it still doesn't ring a bell, this is from the MtG card Run Away Together from Bloomburrow.

Hey look, colours that aren't just green or blue! (I mean, those are the best colours, but variety is good too.) Around 160 hours of stitching now and getting closer! Which is good, because the deadline is getting a little close for comfort...

The lower half of the fabric is mostly water in many shades of blue and green, getting darker towards the centre where a partially finished wooden boat is casting a shadow. There's a yellow sail in the upper right, not yet connected to the boat below it. The centre of the fabric is still empty, with no one visible in the boat yet.

The lower quarter of the fabric is water in many shades of blue and green, getting darker towards the centre of the piece as if something is casting a shadow. The middle continues to be empty, but the upper edge of the water in the middle is concave, suggesting the silhouette of something that hasn't been stitched yet.

It's my birthday, have a #DBCraftAlong update. This is a bit under 40 hours of stitching so far.

Large green leaves frame the bottom and left side of a rectangle of very pale blue aida fabric. The leaves along the bottom are a dark blueish green, while the ones on the left have more yellow-green in them. The centre of the fabric is completely blank.

It's a couple weeks later than I'd like but I've finally started stitching this year's @desertbus.org craft. I have already had to fix a mistake.

Pale blue aida fabric in a wooden embroidery hoop. There are a few random, disconnected dark blueish lines stitched onto it. In the background are some bobbins of embroidery thread in different shades of green.

Got some pretty flowers because the last week or so was A Whole Thing (it's...probably fine now?). Also got to pet the shop cat, who *loves* butt scritches.

This boy is very silly and I love him.
