"I need another drink, and you need to pick a second wife." Absolutely dying over this clever line from Chloë Sevigny's character in #TheFiveStarWeekend BECAUSE SHE WAS THE SECOND WIFE IN BIG LOVE
This volunteer sunflower has shown up and shown out. Definitely saving seed from this lady.
This year's red onion harvest was more impressive than the white onions, who really struggled through the worst part of the drought.
Celery processing day was this week. Two gallon freezer bags plus more I left in the ground.
Soldier beetle on cilantro blossoms. Every day I'm shocked at the diversity of insect life attracted by cilantro. I'm going to make letting the cilantro go to seed a new spring tradition.
My purple salvia is always the first to show for the pollinators.
Almost stepped on this guy and then helped him up into my Rose of Sharon.
This spring has been a constant reminder of our dog we lost in October. He was my constant, easy garden companion and nothing is the same without him. Our new puppy is equally as helpful, as you can see. There's never enough time with them.
We finally got some rain and have a bit more in the forecast, so I planted out what I could today. More to do tomorrow.
So pleased with how my pepper seedlings look this spring. I am behind/underwhelmed/worried about my tomato situation, so I'll just stare at these instead.
#ThePitt has been nailing the ultrasound scenes thus far but who let the consultant go in the middle of this season because 💀💀💀
Any other gardeners in healthcare -- the narrow nose tweezers that come in suture removal kits make the absolute best squash vine borer grub tools.
Not at all what I was expecting but I'll take it I guess. 😂
Rad thought maybe a luminal cystic structure but said partial obstruction so they went to surgery regardless of what it was. The surgeon said it "felt like foam." Foam: the fifth element.
Since you're posting cool things that aren't body parts, I do veterinary US now as well. I saw this luminal ?foreign body? in a canine jejunum (yes, they let us do GI US lol). I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what an ovoid fluid-filled FB could be since x-ray was negative for obvious FB.
I think the varieties that Row 7 cultivates are incredible and a few are on my "to grow" list. I also love the idea of reinventing tinned vegetables. But $10/tin? Who is this product for in this economy? (I know the answer, there's a reason they partner with Whole Foods)
I am so jealous. Mine didn't bloom at all last year and though it's made it through the winter, it's still looking rough. 😓 I even fertilized it in the fall but alas. I hope I get some blooms this year.
Your annual reminder that Ciara Miller is the hottest person to ever grace the entire Bravo network. #SummerHouse
Happy Mardi Gras! 💜💚💛 I've spent the day topping off garden beds with fresh compost, starting seeds, and making the Dong Phuong dupe king cake. This is more my speed of celebration. Cheers to all! Time for an espresso martini.
