It's most likely the gas giant from the original game. Which the Halo orbits. It's been pinkish since 2001.

The funniest thing about it is that it's clearly fake fandom because the Halo orbits a gas giant. The reddish tint combined with the blue scattering in the air would indeed make it look somewhat purplish. And indeed, the planet has looked purple from some angles already.

38: Kingkiller Chronicle I like the sympathy magic system, as ripped off as it is from Lyndon Hardy's Master of the Five Magics (which Rothfuss is open about), and this is a pretty cool fantasy map.

37: Dragon Age, more generally Picking up from Dragon Age: Origins to a more general overview, which is probably cheating, I actually really liked the tabletop roleplaying game by Green Ronin. It felt like it really lived up to the dark fantasy ideas that the video games never fulfilled.

36: D&D 5.5e — Adventures in Faerûn and Heroes of Faerûn These were disappointing in a way where I wasn't really expecting much better from them. I've given up hope that WotC will ever do right by anything. However the artwork by Bruce Brenneise is absolutely gorgeous.

35: Skyrim As a game, it was ultimately lacklustre. Barely even a roleplaying game anymore so much as something that met the ‘action game with RPG elements’ in the middle. As a modding platform for adding tonnes of lore-unfriendly stuff to, it was amazing. A real testament to community creativity.

33: Fable 2 It has a doggy in it. Also the gargoyles were funny.

32: Star Wars: Squadrons I love that this exists as a thing at all, and the characters in the main campaign are incredibly likeable. Especially the Mirialan played by Bex Taylor-Klaus. It’s just a shame that there isn’t more of that, and the gameplay’s just a little too MOBA for me.

31: Battlestar Galactica (2003) Edward James Olmos is utterly amazing as Adama and I am gay for Katee Sackhoff as Kara Thrace. She deserved a girlfriend in that show.

30: Jedi Academy trilogy by Kevin J. Anderson This did a lot of important groundwork for Star Wars Legends moving forwards and gave us a lot of foundational elements such as the Yavin IV Academy, and the eventual role of Kyp Durron as a militant foil to Luke Skywalker.

Wound up better than it had any right to be.

Really struggling to think of stuff now. 29: Superman Returns Brandon Routh does a genuinely good job here, and it’s nice that the Arrowverse gave him the opportunity to reprise the role in the Kingdom Come form.

28: Game of Thrones The actors ought to get a lot of credit for making lines that really aren’t that impressive into iconic phrases just by adding Shakespearean gravitas to them. This show has some genuinely amazing performances, and launched a bunch of careers. Also the dragons are cool.

27: BBC's Sherlock Their version of Irene Adler as a sapphic dominatrix was an amazing idea and she deserved an infinitely better show.

26: CW's Supergirl Oh I really wanted to like this show. I love all of the chemistry between Kara and Lena, and I adore the stuff with Alex Danvers grappling with and realising her sexuality. There are the pieces ot a great show here and they just didn't put them together.

25: Injustice. The comics for this having Harley Quinn really grapple with the nature of her abuse and marry Poison Ivy was nice. She genuinely gets some decent scenes here, which are best experienced via extracts posted on social media.

24: Dungeons & Dragons 5.5e I really do like that, while the aesthetics haven't been fixed yet, they finally reintroduced the idea of tieflings as having non-devil heritages. Reintroducing those descended from yugoloths or tanar'ri was long overdue. They still shouldn't be a core ancestry, though.

23: Avengers: Age of Ultron James Spader's performance as Ultron is good. There's a few decent scenes early on with the team that actually give them a sense of being a group that socially interacts.

22: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice I've often said that this film is bad in an interesting way. But I'm going to genuinely compliment Ben Affleck on his take on Batman, and he deserved a better movie. I like the decision to reintroduce grey into Batman's colour scheme.

21: Star Trek Into Darkness I genuinely do like some of the scenes and character moments between Kirk and Spock in this. I also really liked Kirk being taken to task for his arrogance finally, bringing a little more needed humility to the character. Bruce Greenwood is also still the best Pike.

19: Book of Vile Darkness It's a genuinely lacklustre sourcebook for what it's meant to do, and I thought the Complete Book of Villains and Complete Book of Necromancers in 2e were better. That being said, it introduced the Kythons and they're an amazing monster for horror campaigns.
