Puffins divebombing (with delight) the Doolin, Ireland, Ferry under the Cliffs of Moher in May 2025. So magical!
Closest we could get at that time to the Reflecting Pool - appeared they were still ‘painting’ it with that godawful ‘blue.’
Reports from DC: Often in 60s as a child~expansive sites, saw JFK thru window. December 2023~Holiday tour of gorgeous, stately White House & grounds. This June~Troops & fencing at Lincoln Memorial & Reflecting Pool. Construction barriers near WH. At Kennedy Ctr, hoping to see rump’s name down.
We have a giant wild cherry tree that fell in a storm and came up by its roots, leaving deep holes. And bunnies, and more bunnies - or are they Tribbles? - keep coming out of their warrens every day:) The felled tree (a nurse log) still lives, btw.
My Catelyn & I are at emergency vet. Rough tummy ache. Good thoughts & bubbles, please.

@darthbluesky.bsky.social At the National Zoo in DC, baby Linh Mai is being taught by her Auntie Swarna “how to be an elephant.” Linh Mai luvs getting scritches behind her ears from the zookeepers, but she also keeps trying to get her auntie’s treats.

Huge, noisy Ravens on the hunt this morning as their wee prey cry, Nevermore.
Chipper appears out of nowhere each late spring, running under the nurse log and up into the birdfeeder. Along with the Catbird, he seems to particularly enjoy the oranges and grape jelly I put out for the Baltimore Orioles. Both Baltimore & Orchard Orioles live on the farm.
