Appreciating the handmade cuckoo clock from the heart of the Black Forest. It's adorable and I hope I can hang on to it for a long time. The artist who sold it to me said this one was his favorite. He plans to retire soon and won't be able to pass on this tradition.

After a few weeks of not drawing them, I make sure I can still draw them. Ebony looks better here than in the previous drawing. Her eyes feel softer. I've been playing with her coloring a bit because she's so cold looking with too much blue. I don't know if I she needs to be purple. #shadowsmark

Missed my little lady* while I was gone. At least it's Friday so we have the weekend. My nippy bird is feeling very cuddly and wants me to stay home. At least she was well-behaved at work yesterday.

Took a hike in the Black Forest in Germany before returning to the States. Really pretty inside the trees, my camera made it extra green. The black aspect of it really comes in at night because of the pines.

A very sleepy puppers and a lot of goat, munjack and deer. I touched a lot of animals today, including some salamanders and a red frog. It was like going to the zoo when you're 7.

I had an idea and wanted to draw a little boy who was in an unfortunate situation. I wanted to feel like the kid needs a hug. Razor is that creepy man at the park who thinks he's being cool, scaring children. I've been needing to draw other characters. This generic boy is adorable. #shadowsmark

This new character is named, Alces! He might be relatively quiet but very important in Ebony's day to day life. He's in his golden years, having been in the family for most of his life. He came to them at about the size of a large goat.

Coming off from being sick all last week. I try to have fun on a weekend and get rolled. I couldn't really do much personal work either. It did come and go pretty quickly, so I could at least make my hair appointment. On the rare occasion, I am presentable.

Fun for me, drawings of my characters just doing silly stuff or arguing. I didn't mess with the text too much, but something I intend to design a bit more intentionally later on. #shadowsmark

Getting them into trouble. He likes watching their reaction and is usually very confident in getting them out of said trouble. Ebony, however, likes to give him what he needs. She also plays mind games to challenge him into cooperating. She may also pull his tail because he can't do it to her.

Razor's lore ref card. Exumbras are like boogeymen. Children need to come home before nightfall, or else they may get eaten by these depraved cultists. That's how the folktales go anyway. Razor does not confirm or deny this.

Sharing a few more glam photos of the mask outside. There is a shine on the blue color. The teeth and eyes glow in the dark, but the teeth glow best. Airflow is pretty good, so I didn't add extra stuff to impead that or the vision.

A few photos from indoors. Wanted to show how much pressure is on the bite. The jaw is responsive to each movement only when the nose is held. This mask is also mildly claustrophobic, but that's my fault. It's going to be a fine display.

This mask is done. While the jaw isn't free to move independently, the most important part was getting it on securely. I am pleased that the work I put into this miscast version still came out well, as I had to sculpt and reshape quite a bit. I may work on a simpler mask next.
