She deserves something more. For now, this quick wind down piece will have to serve as a starting placeholder. #art
Another quick wind down thumbnail painting/sketch. Won't know how obnoxious the contrast is until after I post, between device, format, and tired eyes on top of the blindness. Almost called this 'Sunflower'. Almost. Uh.. I should probably use the #art hashtag on occasion.
Been a minute. Here's a rough wind down piece from tonight. Uncooperative headspace of late. Either way, she's what decided to come dance. Her dance card isn't full, if you can figure out the name I've yet to give her. Goodnight.
Today's quick nightcap rough. Fast & loose quick build with implied detail through values. The starkness helps it pop a bit easier for my vision.
Wind down sketch piece from yesterday. One thing I'm contending with is that when something looks proportionately normal to my ey, & I flip it, it may suddenly appear massively skewed. Because my one functional eye is no longer able to see without distortion. Then I have to guess-tweak. Fun times.
Tonight's wind down piece. Everything's fine. It's all fine. Now you have someone to watch over you while you sleep. Sleep well. G'night.
Wind down rough. She's whispering to me, but there's too much distortion between her & I. Are the colors and light off? Most likely, but it's not like I can see them. If nothing else, I can tell I've used a lot of red in there, which means it's probably really fucking vibrant to most of you. Lol.
Process piece from the other day. This is more to show where I'm building on rough gesture frameworks (in this case, lines). While I don't like the color palette (well, what I can make out of it), I like the head. If nothing else, it may end up used for a different piece.
Another quick wind down piece before sleep. The balance is off. Head isn't in it. Still, at least it's something, I suppose. Done with it.
Quick wind down piece. She's just here to watch over you while you sleep.
Last night's loose wind down piece. I can sort of tell what colors are there, which means they probably pop pretty distinctly for you.
I've nudged this rough starter piece a handful of minutes here and there for the last few days. Things aren't quite connecting now, so she's getting shelved to allow The Muse to move on to other things.
Abstracting and pulling at momentary phantom hints that flicker inside the less broken eye, resulting in building with implied detail. At least it's a decent starting point if I decide to make it into a more refined piece later.
The Muse is still garbled, but I said fuck it, and pushed values around for awhile. Anyhow, here's the result of that.
Another instance of The Muse telling me to stop and leave it the fuck alone. So I listened, and saved this iteration that could be fleshed out later. ~16-17min sketch.
For this following along at home, and who are unaware; I'm still very blind, but after over 2.5yrs I started forcing myself to do art again. No clue who she is, but 5 minutes in, The Muse said "Leave it alone. That's exactly who it's supposed to be." So here we are.
