Well, the accordion wasn't there. 😭 But, I did pick up this cookbook for my sister and a dress for myself. One of the ladies having coffee said she had donated that dress herself this morning, which explains why the universe didn't want me to go yesterday.
Last week, I saw a small town thrift store post a beautiful vintage accordion for $200. Kinda wish I had agreed when my friend offered to buy it while she was in town. I can neither stop thinking about it nor justify going just to see IF it's still there.
"If you believe a foreign government can sail a hospital ship to the edge of US territorial waters, deliver a hundred babies to foreign moms, then promptly sail back to a foreign port"
Did I just get some cool artwork, support a cat rescue and a small town art gallery with the same $20? Yes, yes I did. Thank you, Lady Bug Clausette.
How weird would it be for me to invite these guys to try curling? Something tells me they'd be excellent sweepers. The one who yelled "whoa! whoa! whoa!" as the driver got too close to the sewer grate is definitely skip material.
Ugh. Pretty sure (hoping) this is a spider bite. Happened while sleeping. Gonna check with the nurse friend I babysit for in the morning and see if she thinks I need to go in.
Another Kwik Star stop. (My sister now has five cents off a gallon on her rewards.) Per one of my Spanish speaking friends: None of those actually match up hahahaha
Decided not to drive through construction and rush hour in Des Moines. Made a pit stop to get something cold and caffeinated.
Weird. One of my friends had karaoke for her kid's birthday party and posted this.
Forget sharing the last picture you saved, I want to see the very first picture on your phone. (Flowers in the garden of the John G. Niehardt Center. Bancroft, Neb. 2019)
Strange that you would mention that we all fall. I went through some old notes this week and found this. (An excerpt.)
My curling club is likely relocating in the near future. Next to a coffin distribution center. So I'm obviously thinking of puns for team names. I think I've got one, but I'm not sure if it's too deep of a cut for people to get.
A beautiful night. Forever grateful I chose to do this among the 674 things going on this weekend.
The guffaw I guffawed. I bought this phone in May of 2019. It was the cheapest available and when I went to buy more screen protectors for it six months later, I was told it had been discontinued.
Right. Outside. My. Window. I need to leave in 3 hours and haven't slept since the 20 minute cat nap I had before work last night.
It's a good thing I have a massage soon and wasn't planning on sleeping anyway. (Volume up.)
In my last apartment, I repurposed a 90s era entertainment center as a pantry. It fit perfectly flush with the wall and the refrigerator door.
They just released a photo of the map, and also updated the webpage. Based on the names, the furthest west stop that appeals strongly to me is the bikeshare in Valentine. So I may actually skip the whole panhandle this year. There's a couple of places down in Kansas I want to visit, though.
Every competition needs an underdog. Also, I hung this so it's the first thing I see when I come home. Motivation to get healthier.
Welp. My legs are gonna hate me tomorrow. Thought I could jinx us by preemptively taking Sunday night off. Turns out, the curling gods wanted a laugh.
Still there. (And yes, I took a second screenshot because the first one had a timestamp of 4:19, which just did not fit the vibe of the day or photo.)
What radicalized me, you ask? I left my last job in part because they changed insurances four times in five years, to progressively worse insurances each time. A friend who still works there posted this.
