I've spent the day and evening with the amazing Repower #Ukraine, bringing #solar and battery power to frontline hospitals. Their Kyiv office was destroyed recently in a Russian attack. Puts all our UK issues into perspective.

The ridiculous planning application by HS2 to run dozens of HGVs and over 2,000 other vehicle movements along this quiet #Wendover lane goes to Bucks Council's Strategic Sites committee on Wednesday. This application should have been ruled out at the pre-planning application phase but here we are.

A whopping 137 objections (including mine) were submitted in response to #HS2's planning application to send HGVs and over 2,000 other vehicle movements through the centre of #Wendover. This application should have been seen off at the pre-planning application advice phase last year.

Just back from the packed protest against #HS2 #HGVs using residential roads in #Wendover. Staggering that this proposal (now planning application) wasn't kicked out many months ago.

These are the roads in the heart of #Wendover that #HS2 is now proposing to use for HGVs. Incredibly, at pre-planning application phase Buckinghamshire council appears to have given them the green light to do this. Bonkers even by HS2 and Bucks council standards.
