Spin 2 for #tourdefleece is the second batt of this Melly Knits spin! I spun the first bobbin in December before the RSI in my hands got bad and forced me to take a spinning break
#tourdefleece Day 2! Finished bobbins 2 and 3. Now I need to use all of my patience and self control to give my hands and the bobbins a rest instead of immediately plying them
This will be my #tourdefleece26 thread, so mute if you don’t want spinning rambling this month! This is bobbin 1 for a traditional 3-ply of Moon Joy from @fossilfibers.bsky.social ‘s beautiful Artemis TdF kit. This has been an absolute joy to spin!
Most people don’t know this, but when your bobbin starts to bulge like this, it’s a sign that the battery is destabilizing. You need to immediately replace it and safely dispose of the bobbin according to local regulations #tourdefleece #handspinning
